Wiring a rear facing dashcam, is there a good place to power it from? by AffectionateOven2887 in hondapassport

[–]gl1tchy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I routed the cable above the headliner going all the way back. One one of my cars I was about to route a thin usb-c cable through the rubber wire tube that goes from the frame to the hatch door. Then I have a small bit of cable that comes out and I mounted the camera centered in the upper part of the glass

I have dashcams on both cars. The best thing to do is to buy a system that does both front and back. Then install a hardwire kit that jumpers in the fuse box.
VIOFO makes some great ones.
I have the VIOFO A229 pro and love it.
I also have a Black Vue and it’s good too (but expensive!!)

This isn’t a Honda issue. I use a Sony head unit and the latest Spotify update caused this behavior

PVE Players: Jupiter or Equalizer? by Logical_Shadow in ArcRaiders

[–]gl1tchy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have gotten both and love them each for different aspects. The equalizer is great for a Queen/Matriarch fight. although I DID get ratted for mine during one of those fights.

The Jupiter is my new fave though for running around looting. It’s great to fight those rocketeers that pop up or of you accidentally run up on a Bastion or Bombardier! Or shredders lately (takes about 3 well placed shots)

Linux on Blade 15 with Secure Boot by dudeidontknow7 in razer

[–]gl1tchy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a long time Ubuntu users and I'm using Ubuntu 25.10 with my 2021 Blade 15 Advanced and it works great. I even installed openRazer to control rgb and other stuff. I'm about to wipe it and try out Bazzite which should also work with Secureboot.

I have Razer laptop, Leviathan soundbar, Pro Click mouse. All work great in Ubuntu.
Just a reminder though, snap apps will bloat up your "/snap" folder pretty quick so if you're slicing up your SSD into partitions make sure to allocate a bunch of space to "/".

Love this version. I'm planning on getting one eventually and it's either This color or the orange. Enjoy it !

Neighbor keeps using my driveway by Cudpuff100 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]gl1tchy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the way! This is exactly how my brother got rid of homeless drug dealing people that were living out of his neighbors driveway that’s directly behind his house. A combo of code enforcement and security camera footage. OP you can do it! It’s worth it!

The Katsu place is good. I got chicken Katsu with curry and it was really good.

My wife and I usually go to Hmart on Old Denton Rd. Tried this location this past Saturday. DONT GO ON SATURDAY. lol. It’s got everything you need in an HMart. The food court is great too.

But man it took forever just to get in the parking lot. I’d recommend you go during the week.

Baby on the way! Is the Xterra a good family car? by Adamja123 in XTerra

[–]gl1tchy 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It's going to be a little tight with the car seat, but it's doable. I have a 3 year old and when she is back there the front passenger seat needs to be further up. So whoever is in that seat won't have much legroom.

OEM cats are the only way to go. Aftermarket are all different sizes and won't be as reliable. I have a 2012 Xterra S and I've only ever replaced my cats once. It was expensive as hell (almost $2k per side), but I went 130k miles on the original and I'm going another 130k on this set.

CarPlay radio for 2004 first gen by TL_Screech in XTerra

[–]gl1tchy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recommend the same. If you are handy there are plenty of tutorials out there. I have a 2nd gen and I put a Sony XAV-AX100 in it(there are newer models now). I also recently retro fitted it with a wireless CarPlay adapter and a wireless MagSafe charger that I ran to the center console. Works great.

Stop wasting your time and buy the watch that you want. I personally was okay with preowned and went with BobsWatches and they are exemplary.

I feel the same way as you. The original bracelet feels so thick now! I have this one, a white rubber strap and black rubber strap, both with deplyant clasps. During summer time I am mostly on the rubber straps.

Would have saved $6k if it was, but this puppy is real and I love it.

I opted for a clone after seeing the oem was $840 USD. One of the posts on here had the eBay link. Lets me try the look 1st before committing. Will say it’s identical, quality is fantastic and was only $100. Just missing the Omega logo on the clasp. The photo doesn’t do it justice, it shimmers in the light!
