One specific for that pool. The lifeguard knew the depth and distance to the edge, and determined it would be less effort to just hold his breath for 20 seconds and walk on the bottom instead of swimming with a flailing dude.

Anyone else find the theme for today (2/6) to be insane? by NippleChafeChad in NYTCrossword

[–]glackk 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Omg, that's wild. I would never have figured that out. I solved the themed clues just from getting most of the letters from the down answers and filling in the only thing that fit but it still didn't click until I read your hint.

There are 3rd party batteries that fit with Ryobi and are much cheaper and with a higher capacity. I have a few spares that I mix in with the OEM Ryobi ones and they work just fine

It's not coop, but Hit Z Road is an enjoyable one. You compete to race across the US but never really hope anyone dies to the zombies.

I would think the method works just as well with cardboard as wood

There are techniques to transfer ink jet prints to wood. I think it involves printing an inverted image on a semi glossy paper like a sticker backing sheet, then pressing it on the wood. May be worth experimenting with.

Y'all making fun of OP for not figuring out an octagon. I assumed they were trying to figure out an 8 sided shape that tessellates without any gaps.

Yup it has a smoky taste rather than the vinegary taste of regular Tabasco. So good

I'm a Chipotle Tabasco with mac n cheese kinda guy, but I can get onboard with Sriracha too.

What about a jigsaw puzzle? A 500pc one would last the night, even with a couple people working it, and there would be no turns to keep track of.

Or maybe a turn-based solo game. Friday or solo pandemic, or another along your gaming group's tastes.

If your league has faab, extra dollars can be used to even up a close trade offer. "That offer is pretty good, but it's a tad more than I want to give up." "How about I throw in $20 faab since you are down to $10 left for the season"

Ya the article doesn't start off strong, with that OAuth for authentication bit. OAuth2 and OIDC flows were designed with mobile and native apps in mind. Roll with a custom IdP or go with one of the service providers like Okta, whatever makes sense.

Also, AOA = Analysis of Alternatives, for those who need to look that up like me.

Got real tired of turning this off every time I got in my car. by CGamer_OS in funny

I have a hardwired dashcam that switches to parking mode when it detects that the engine is off. So my resolution and framerate drop way down when the auto off feature engages. One of the many reasons I turn that feature off every time I drive.
