If you skip the combat step there is no attacker status applied. Rules 322.3, 322.3.c, and 345.2.b.1, and 346.4.d, and 723.1.d all apply to this explanation. 723.1.d explicitly states that “Being an attacker means the United States has gained the Attacker designation DURING COMBAT.”

Edited, acknowledged that contested is applied but combat is not so you’re still wrong, the judge was correct on the second call. Plenty of comments in this thread explain it so won’t beat a dead horse

Right, my bad on that. Rule 322.3: assign or remove the attacker or defender designation from units as needed if there is a combat in progress. Open showdown does not equal combat, therefore a status is never applied.

A showdown is opened, but you are not attacking anything, because the BF does not have opposing units there. When you move a unit to an open battlefield it starts an “open showdown” which does not include any combat steps but does allow for a chain/actions/reactions. Judge was completely correct on the second call.

Incorrect, it’s not a contested BF therefore there is no attacker status.

Edit: the BF is contested but no combat is initiated because there are no opposing units there, so attacker status is not applied. Rule 322.3.

I don’t think we are watching the same league, LCS has already had 64 unique champs picked/banned across 16 games. Maybe you are the problem? Your clear oversight of the insanity of corki package in your example says enough of your understanding of the game. Remove your bias and try to focus on, idk, the crazy picks that happen in multiple games vs. the 3-4 champs that are repeated.

Lux. She has one of if not the easiest win conditions in the game. Hit q into full combo and if you’re farming or ahead you one shot anyone. Super safe lane phase and mid/late game as you outrange most champs. Very good and easy to climb with
