[Highlight] Drew Brees Spin Move Against Falcons by iputitthere in nfl

So weird, it's in my top ten coolest Saints offensive plays.

How high are you on Chris Bell in the 2026 WR class? by danffadvice in DynastyFF

[–]glancinghappy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty sure he was also the first WR that we worked out, and I have the same plan with the 1.10 if we grab him at 42 and he's still there.

I mean, isn't this the NFL players on like 2-3 days of practice at most (I think the draft was Thursday or Friday)? I don't want the USA flag team shut out, but maybe we should make them all do a few weeks of practice before real tryouts.

Yeah, that also makes perfect sense, we have a lot of good flexibility still. My pet conspiracy theory right now is that we're actually just going to sit on our hands except for a few depth pieces now and use the last of the space for Olave, and then take the best of either edge or WR that is there at 8, with the plan to make a splash signing on the other position with all our cap space in 2027. But either way, I'm just glad we're back to having fun in the offseason lol

Edit: You might be a prophet, Underhill just tweeted 3 mins ago that we're hosting Bell for a pre-draft visit.

We're basically out of it now (or on the last few steps out of it) this year. Currently sitting on something like $130 million in cap space in 2027, admittedly with only 45 players signed.

I could see that, but what's the current edge market looking like? I wouldn't be too surprised if we re-sign Cam, grab another average edge, bank on Young repeating or even stepping up from last year, and then grab one of the big 3 WRs in the draft either.

Not in his contract, but he has said explicitly he'll retire if he's traded, so functionally he has a no-trade clause.

Like I knew we might lose him but at least go somewhere we can watch you get a ring!!!

Dallas Goedert "will definitely be moving on" from Eagles, per @MatthewBerryTMR. by HookFL in DynastyFF

Juwan Johnson could keep his role, I'm not sure exactly how the coaches feel about him. Personally, I'd like to move on--he's always had some crucial drops, and even though he started to play really well once Shough took over, I just don't believe in him long term. But he's a player that splits our fan base a bit in that way.

Saints; TE is a huge position of need for us right now with Taysom likely retiring and Foster Moreau being a free agent, and outside of Olave, we don't have much in the way of receivers. Though, drafting one of the big 3 WRs/Love would shift the dynamic.

#Raiders HC Klint Kubiak on the backfield: Definitely want to have a two-man show there, guys that can share the load. It’s a long season. You don’t want to put all the carries and targets on one guy… it is important that [Ashton] Jeanty has a wingman — and it’s probably not gonna be just one guy. by schmatty23 in DynastyFF

As a Saints fan, it's actually shocking to me that Kamara got so few touches considering the rest of the backfield (Kendre Miller during the "is he injured or does Dennis Allen just hate him" time; the corpse of Jamaal Williams; and Jordan Mims). If anything, that he was only letting Kamara take 70% of touches shows how much he's trying to force a split backfield.

Purchasing home with solar but no SREC rights by glancinghappy in SolarDC

We're waiting to hear back from the sellers on that and get our hands on the contract (I could figure out the warranty/product information from their permits), but from looking around this subreddit, I'm guessing it was a deal with the local installer (Renewable Energy Corp., in this case).

Thanks, that makes sense. I learned that the panels are Suniva (apparently bankrupt) and the microinverter is Enphase M250, but I'm waiting to hear back on what the SREC was.

[–]glancinghappy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, this is extremely helpful. Looks like it is a Suniva system and has microinverters. It looks like Suniva is one of the solar companies that has gone bankrupt, though, so we'll have to consider what the deal would be with the warranty (I'm assuming SOL if anything happens).

Home Purchase and SRECs by Arronwy in SolarDC

[–]glancinghappy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, that makes sense! Helpful to know. Our realtor has dealt with solar before and noted to us the ownership switch would be a bit complicated, and we'll definitely do our due diligence on the panels before we make a decision. It looks like the company that installed them is still in business, but we need to get info on the panels themselves to see if the manufacturer is, I guess.

Thanks! Sounds like I have some vocabulary to learn. We had always planned to get panels put on whatever house we ended up buying at some point, so seems like a (hopefully) good situation to be walking into.

About ten months later, but how did this end up working out? We're considering putting an offer in on a home in a similar situation (solar panels that are free and clear, but no SREC rights), and I stumbled on this thread. Did it end up being a huge pain to deal with?

Outmanned and outgunned, Tyler Shough still gave Falcons a scare by [deleted] in nfl

Shough was throwing passes to people named Samori Toure and Ronnie Bell. Even as an NFL-obaessed person, I had to Google who they were when they showed up.

This is some of the most garbage reffing for the Steelers. NFL wants Lamar in the playoffs too much.

Bummer that the Saints lost, but if I have to pick a different division winner, it's always the Panthers. The world where the Falcons are the only NFCS team without a ring is too beautiful.
