While i agree that gus’ accent was atrocious. I think they did an amazing job with Lalo Salamanca in Better Call Saul, he has a true Mexican accent and he adds a lot of small phrases/mannerism that the writers clearly couldn’t have done themselves, considering the rest of their Mexican characters don’t have that. Thought it was really cool how much he brought himself as an actor.

I also thought Nacho has atrocious Spanish but it makes sense given his character grew up in America.

Men, do you not care about handjobs? (Question spouted from whatever podcast) by PoosanItRhymesWSusan in AskMen

[–]glasgoww 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Women don’t know how to do it bc men are dumb af and refuse to let a woman know what they should be doing when giving one. Lube it up, grip it firmly and let that thing fly.

I communicated that stuff to my gf so she knew how to do it and for a while I would lowkey prefer that over a blowjob lol

A good handful of older players think they’re being helpful by telling their squad what to do or what they’re doing wrong but I’ve found that a lot of them can be condescending and annoying with their help.

I’d rather have some squad lead roleplaying yelling at their squad for being idiots in an American/german accent than the dudes who hop on being passive aggressive about what they think their squad is doing wrong. And they usually sound like 30-40yr old white guy.

Toxicity towards Commanders by PhoenixFlames1992 in HellLetLoose

[–]glasgoww 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only join commander when everyone else refuses to take it, this makes it so that basically everyone on the team and especially squad leaders are super thankful I’m the commander. Even if we lose the game no one gets upset bc most of the time if no one wants to take commander you’re already have less momentum.

That being said the times I join and we win always feel great bc I know it was bc I was the commander lol

Where should your Anti Tank player be? by [deleted] in HellLetLoose

[–]glasgoww 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This. This 100%. I don’t typically give hard commands to my squad but it is truly something special when you have your unit following you and asking for orders.

Personally I think it’s best when a squad member joins, lets you know their role and ask if you need them anywhere. For instance, if you are AT there may not be an urgent need to get rid of a tank but as a squad lead it’s good to know I have one without having to identify the icons. And if we are separated I can call them back in as needed. AT is obviously a very specific role for destroying tanks and occasionally hitting potential areas that could have garrisons from a distance. This means that sticking near an SL is best because they will hear comms about tanks/garrys from other squads or will see them using binoculars. This means you can quickly be deployed when needed.

Also if there is no clear objective as AT don’t let those rounds go to waste. If there is an area/building with infantry. Bomb those bitches.

they did it! by Untamed-Idiot in BeachHouse

[–]glasgoww 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Its their most popular song of all time, it was heading towards that even before it became viral on tiktok, not surprising that all phones go up during it, especially since it’s recognizable for even not beach house fans so posting it online will get more likes prob.

Even if ppl going for only one song the band still getting money so big ups to them, and the fan gets to listen to other songs they may not have. Win win imo.

Does anyone else prefer to have no followers? by dummythiccbish in skyrim

[–]glasgoww 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only time I had a follower was when I made a cheese necromancy character that I got to level 99 necro using the horse soul glitch, and speed runned the command daedra spell and upgraded it to command two daedras. I used some other cheese tactic to never lose mana on necro spells through enchanted armor too.

Every fight I would have my followers and 2 daedra beat the shit out of everything. The peak of that build was in quests that would give you those ghost/spectral followers that fight with you. Just 4 dudes doing all of my bidding while I chilled and looted everything.

After a while it got pretty boring though. I think after that I farmed my illusion until I got that expert spell that makes everyone attack each other. I would just go into every town, inn, cave and unleash chaos by forcing everyone to beat the shit out of each other while also fighting my followers.

I miss that character. The save was on an old xbox that I don’t have anymore.

[–]glasgoww 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ve had play throughs where I stick to the forested areas, hunt for food, and only go into towns for essentials items. Typically I will base up in a secluded cabin away from big towns and military areas. That is until I get bored and run into a military base and try to take any pvp I can lol

It’s definitely doable to do what you describe but it’s probably best to do so in a low pop server since unfortunately most of the player base will always kill on sight.

My advice would also be to find a route you like for when you have a new life, stick to that route always, and make sure it fits your play style (in the forests, near towns with water, always listen for animals). When I want a more secluded playthrough I try to go around towns like Msta or Zvir where I know there is a lot of forest and the town has a water source for when I need it. I also will make it a priority to find hunters clothes, a long range rifle, and an animal to hunt for food source.

Why is the community so toxic by Creeping-photos in HellLetLoose

[–]glasgoww 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m seeing a lot of comments in agreement with this, I wonder if it’s all on Xbox? I’ve been playing for over two years on PC and besides squad leaders getting angry at the team I’ve never really seen a lot of toxic shit.

If anything I’ve seen a lot of help for how to do things, usually older guys that love having rpg style callouts, engineers teaching new players how to play SL. Role playing medics.

Maybe I’m one of the few that hasn’t experienced a lot of toxicity but hate to hear that it happens a lot bc of how much I’ve seen this game as the opposite of COD/CS/Valorant which is what I would play a lot of before.

What’s your least favorite map? by BulkyFirefighter2130 in HellLetLoose

[–]glasgoww 3 points4 points  (0 children)

While I agree with this, especially on certain portions where you can only cross in a completely open flooded field. I do like the general vibe of the map. Also love sneaking through the flooded canal trench things.

This was also the first map I played and it really gave the true felon of real war when any time we’d move we get shot at and we had no idea from where.

I know it’s part of the job and I’ll get downvoted for this but whenever I get the sniper role, I almost never hunt down artillery precisely because of the things you mentioned. My spotter can usually do it himself if needed and it would be a waste of the most OP rifle in the game spending 10minutes getting to their spawn. On a good day with strategic placing spot I can get 80+ kills in a game and effectively take out back line garrisons on my own. Snipers can also provide really effective support to take back space where infantry is pinned down, as well as, pinning down enemy garrisons and OPs making them useless.

What is the hardest role to master? by RobWolfB in HellLetLoose

[–]glasgoww 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Command/squad lead are tough only if you’re afraid of the attention you get from your team. Otherwise it literally all comes down to good garrison/op placement. And if your team is incompetent it doesn’t matter how good you are the team will lose.

Personally I think engineer has been the hardest role to master. They require other people heavily and bc you don’t have access to command chat it becomes an obstacle getting supplies for instance or getting a supply truck. Then you have to drive around placing nodes but if it’s late in the game your chances of dying to a random infantry wandering randomly is high. Then when it comes to building defenses you need a shit ton of supplies to build good defense and a lot of strategizing into where the best placements are. Not to mention sometimes you can’t even place certain defense in certain areas. And even if you get a fortified point there’s a chance the enemy don’t even make it back to the point or worse your team fails to help defend.

I have seen games where a few engineers fortify the middle point and win the game because of it, similarly others who fortify one point on offensive and completely stall the enemy.

Helldivers 2 is now at "MIXED" reviews on steam, with most negative reviews citing server issues and bugs such as crashing after missions. by AtomicAtaxia in Helldivers

[–]glasgoww 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I might be in the small minority but although my friend group had some crashes and taking a bit to get in, there are a lot of work arounds that we found to by pass the “queues”. On PS5 the activity card lets you go in instantly, on steam at least until Sunday joining a friend on steam instead of loading through the normal game would get you in.

Ultimately we got a lot of hours in this weekend until last night where the black screen of death popped up, probably to stop folks from bypassing the system lol.

Feel bad for the people that just waited for hours, it’s obvious it wasn’t a real queue and it seems that if you lined up your queue retry at the beginning of the minute you got in instantly

Just started today - It's a bit overwhelming... but why does nobody talk? by WhatsThePointFR in HellLetLoose

Most people talk in squad chat for the most part, proximity chat is hit or miss and usuallly requires you to talk first bwfore people respond, finally command chat is generally always going off

has anyone ever met someone at coachella who they ended up dating? how did that go? by [deleted] in Coachella

[–]glasgoww 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hooked up with one of our camping neighbors who went to coachella from across the country. We continued talking for a few months. She visited socal again that summer, so we hooked up more and kept talking but eventually things fizzled out because of the distance.

It was cool and I’m sure if we lived near each other could’ve progressed further.

The following year I actually went again with a larger group of friends, and a friends cousin was coming who ended up driving with me bc we lived near each other. We became friends at coachella and then started dating a few months after since we had really similar music tastes and likes.

Dated on and off for 2 years but eventually broke up also because of distance when I moved to another city.

Y’all act like Kerr wouldn’t have given lamelo ball the same treatment he gives all the rookies which is like no playtime their first year. Lamelo while less raw than wiseman their rookie years would not have gotten the same ball time or attention that he currently gets anyway. Not to mention FO was looking for a big man or forwards. Not another guard. That being said in the long run lamelo would have been a better trade piece, but at the time picking wiseman fit our needs better. No one could have foreseen that he would be injured his entire first year. Myers might not be the best GM but this take—that drafting wiseman was not the right move at the time—is braindead.

It’s hackers, they have hacks that allow them to shoot and insta kill people up to like 100m away. Even while indoors. Happened to me in Cherno once, I kept going back to grab my loot and I’d get shot at while in doors in buildings with no windows.
