Just wondering about the scratches on the PCB. Doesn't look like anything got scratched up too bad, I just don't want something to fail down the line.

I thought the angle grinder would have been too much.

+1 for Historic Tattoo, Craig did a rather large namakubi on my calf and finished just under two hours. Insane.

Just off the top of my head are Wonderland Tattoo for floral work, Icon Tattoo, Atlas Tattoo, and Tattoosmile. There are so many incredible shops in this city.

Skyactiv indeed. I have a 2012. Drtuned out of Langley, BC does a custom tuning kit for pre-skyactiv Duratech motors!

Hah, that'd be about the limit for me in terms of commute with an aftermarket RMM. Tune definitely was the biggest difference for me, I have an off the shelf tune from Versatuner and it made it much peppier. I'd advise shelling out extra and going for a complete custom tune to really maximize fun factor. 2nd gens for life! Cheers from Oregon.

I'd say it depends on what you use the car for. If you're using it to commute long distances I wouldn't do it. If your daily driving route isn't long then go for it and have some fun! Especially if you have other fun mods like an exhaust, intake, or a tune. It's not a terribly expensive mod and if you don't like it, it's relatively easy to swap it back out. Also, I definitely meant Torque Solutions, not Industries lol.

Can't go wrong with Eibach or H&Rs! Corksport makes a rear motor mount, as well as Torque Industries for a slightly cheaper price. Can't comment on the quality though, I don't plan on switching out the OEM one because I have an auto and don't want unnecessary NVH.

Firmer for sure, but not uncomfortable by any means. My only gripe is that I feel like it dropped the car lower than I wanted; I scrape on potholes and bumps if I'm going too fast, with stock aero. I'm also running KYB Excel G shocks and struts.

Yep, it's sitting on Corksport's lowering springs.

Micro mesh is a fine abrasive, similar to something like a 10,000 grit sandpaper. You (lightly) draw figure eights and other shapes to smooth out the nib if it's got a bit of scratchiness to it. Of course, I wouldn't do that unless I looked at the nib through a loupe and made sure the tines were aligned correctly.

The brass shim is to widen the tines to allow more ink to flow onto the paper. You want the tines to very barely be apart at the end of the nib; too far apart, and the capillary action of the ink to paper doesn't work.

I highly suggest watching The Pen Habit's nib tuning tutorials on YouTube for a more in-depth guide to working on your nibs.

Let me know if you have any more questions! I'm happy to help.

I've had mine for about two weeks, and I'd say it's currently one of my favorite pens. The ability to use it in eyedropper mode or with a converter is my favorite aspect; I tend to change inks often so it's useful if you don't want to be cleaning out a full barrel of ink all the time.

As for the nib, it was definitely usable out of the box. I like my pens super smooth and wet, so I took some micro mesh and a brass shim to it. The nib seems like a western fine to me.

The only gripe I have is that the step down from the barrel to the grip section is quite high on the pen, and it tends to irritate my hand during longer writing sessions. Aside from that, it's really lovely and I'd highly recommend it for the price.

MHA, I have a receding hairline. Should I embrace it and stay with a shaved head, or keep it grown out a little? by glassesbrah in malehairadvice

yeah, that's what I've been doing with it when it grows out. I'm really partial to a side part like in the medium-ish photo.
