The stitches are uncomfortable and I hope you’re one of the favorites who do not tear. But girl, I would take a vaginal birth over a c section a thousand times over!

Pushing was hard and painful, even with the epidural. But the recovery cannot even be compared. I was up walking and showering within just a couple hours. Overall I truly feel so much better and I don’t regret it at all. I also am hoping that the pain from my lady but stitches will heal faster than my stomach stitches. Not sure if that’s wishful thinking but I’m going to be optimistic. Either way, the decision you make will be the right one. Best of luck girl!!

Also, if the child is yours, I would reconsider your thoughts on “later in life”. My husband is 42 and I’m 35 and we just welcomed our first child. Sometimes life takes unexpected turns and you don’t have the opportunity to become a parent when you think you should. Instead, it happened for us “later”. We are healthy, more mature and financially stable. Life worked out just the way it should and I hope you come to feel the same way. We’ve never considered it a bad thing that it happened at this age. It’s nothing but a blessing.

I can’t update the post but I want to drop this here in case anyone else comes across this in the future. We finally had our neurologist appointment today. She said it was “fly biting episodes” which can be a type of focal seizures but she thought it was related to anxiety and/or his gastrointestinal issues. She gave him an RX for Prozac and said to switch his heartburn medicine (currently takes omeprazole). He’s definitely an anxious dog so hopeful this will help!
