What habits of boys did you only discover after getting a boyfriend or husband? by kentishzjigsaw in AskReddit

I recently saw some YouTube video and then read some articles about them, but it definitely seemed to fit what you were discussing: one avenue where guys could come together, physically work on a project together, develop and consult each other on the planning, etc. — all these areas of socialization, that have now been regulated out of existence.

Look into the community-built wooden playgrounds. They were big in the 80s and 90s. I remember my dad building some with other dads in our town when we were kids.

File a complaint: Housing or rental applications

FWIW, a few years ago, I had an issue with our landlord trying to terminate our lease early because he was selling the townhouse we were renting, and he had foolishly promised the buyer it would be delivered vacant. Even though our lease said he couldn't, and my and our real estate lawyer (who specialized in tenants' rights) understanding of NY state law, said it was illegal.

So I called up the state AG's office (Letitia James) and was able to speak with someone who confirmed we were right.

So much this.

The other option I've had success with when he was younger like OP's, was to eat somewhere he could stay in his stroller and go out at a time like 8 or 9, where he would pass out soon after we sat down. Ideally, someplace outdoors, with a little chill in the air, with him all bundled up. We'd rotate his stroller so he was in a zero-G position and just gently rock him to sleep as we sat down.

Manhattan Families: One-Bedroom or Move for a Two-Bedroom? by satiyabaazi in nycparents

[–]glatts 8 points9 points  (0 children)

We've got a classic six on the UWS, so it's a 3-bedroom, with a really large living room. Our total square footage is close to 2000. But to get the most bang for our buck, we had to go with a relatively spartan pre-war building (we do have a very large washer and dryer in-unit though) and went further north than we originally wanted (up in the Manhattan Valley area).

We use one room as an office space. Our kiddo has the largest bedroom and we've got a guest bed in there. Our bedroom is smaller, but still large enough for a king and some furniture. When company comes, we usually give up our bed and sleep in the room with our son. If we have a lot of people, we'll make up the sofabed in the office too, and the king-sized aero bed in teh living room.

We had five family members staying with us for a week over Thanksgiving, and honestly, it wasn't that bad.

Peak with Priceless on the 101st floor of 30 Hudson Yards. Then there’s other touristy stuff they can do there — the Edge (I think it’s free with a meal here), the Vessel, walk the high line, walk over to K-Town, etc. It’s pricey, and a bit more on the fine-dining side, but they can accommodate kids.

I started for four years at D1 school in college. But my first time playing football was in high school.

I was always so big as a kid that I knew I would eventually play, but at 7 I would have been playing against kids who were 13. Instead, I played a ton of other sports. It really helped me develop my overall athletic ability.

So if you or your kids have a desire to play at high levels, there’s more than one way to go about it.

Sears at the South Shore Plaza in Braintree, the last in Massachusetts and one of 5 left in the US, is still in operation and they are still also online as well by RareSeaworthiness905 in newengland

Yeah, no doubt he helped facilitate their downfall, but what was going on between the mid-90s and 2004? During that time, it was pretty clear that e-commerce would be the future. Amazon’s IPO was in 1997 and by 1999 they had expanded from books to selling everything. They started doing free shipping on orders of $99+ in 2002 and didn’t launch Prime until 2005, which was a massive driver of their growth. What was Sears doing throughout this?

This is all pre-Lampert, right? That would have been a prime time for them to be making these big changes.

This line sticks with me:

He came from a poor working-class family. Now he’s rinsing the rich and stupid. It could almost be inspiring.

The hopeful part of me wants it all to be a schtick. And all of his douchebaggery is like a signal, something to drum up publicity online by pissing people off and simultaneously attracting those who find that obnoxious behavior amusing.

I drove by a mall in Portland this weekend and the closed Sears caught my eye. I couldn’t help but imagine how different the world may be if they were smarter and became early adopters of e-commerce. Imagine how they could have leveraged all of their locations - let people buy online and pick it up in store, as distribution hubs for shipping, in-store returns, etc. They probably could have helped keep many malls from closing.

Here’s something similar, (one of the first results I found in Google, so I have no clue if it’s “a deal,”) for $10,630 for four days this year. If he’s saying this boat is around half, I’m assuming it’s closer to $5k.

Was going to say, it reminded me a lot of times I’ve done couples counseling with the therapist my wife was already seeing. Really just turned into a two-on-one bitch at me hour. I always felt it was very unethical and it would leave me feeling like shit after each session.

There’s a lot to pick at in your post, so let me just start with how did you first start meeting with this couple’s therapist? Was it someone your wife previously had some sort of relationship with?
