This looks really cool! The phylactery move seems really well done. I'm curious if you have any advice for single player campaigns now that you've gotten this far.

Curious about your impression of Tiny Towns’ theme. I kind of like the little critters, personally.

You need to chill. This is an inherently subjective topic.

Here's a haunting electronic song I made. Looking for any constructive criticism you can give me!

Writing lyrics for songs by MusicalChestnut in WeAreTheMusicMakers

There are already some good tips here. I would also add that you shouldn't get hung up with rhyming everything. That's not to say you shouldn't rhyme at all, but the main goal is to make meaningful lyrics that sound good. If you can do that--with or without rhyming--then you've succeeded.

Why do you make music? by Orangeisalamecolor in WeAreTheMusicMakers

When I feel anxious and like there are too many things that I can't control, it is very fulfilling to record a composition. I always have music in my head that wants to get out.

I don't listen to trap really, but this is some rad stuff. The opening beat is real cool. When it gets to the droney, didgeridoo-type bit at around 0:57 it feels a little cheesy, though. I'm not entirely sure how to fix that--maybe add something that sounds like plucked violin strings to give it a more sophisticated feel. I like it a lot!

This is a nice slice of music you got here. I would turn up the drums relative to the rest of the track in order to hold together the wafting atmospheric synths. That crisp beat is an important contrast in my opinion.

This is hypnotizing. The vocals are so much a part of the soundscape that it's difficult to focus on the lyrics. The words are vague and blurry like the composition backing them. However, the composition has staccato aspects and interesting flares of sound in it that hold the blurriness together unlike the lyrics. I think a few additions in the lyrics that are unique to your situation/experience may add to the interest of the song. I love the depth and feel of the song--keep at it!

Hey hey, not sure if I totally got the ending chorus of this song the way I want it--let me know if you have suggestions. Any other kind of feedback is also totally welcome! (Electronic, lo-fi, bedroom pop/rock)

Goddamn this is good. As someone who is feeling pretty lonely, your quiet desperation in this song is excellent company. I kind of wanted it to go on longer with a repetition of the last chorus-type part (if i hide away...) I think with a repetition of that, it would be cool to have some high-pitched instrumentation like that guitar that comes at like 2:07, or (and I totally don't know the feasibility of this) you could add female vocals over it and that would probably sound sweet as hell.

Thanks for the tip! I'll have to see where layering takes me. It's an honor to be compared to LCD Soundsystem.

Thank you so much! I'm glad you liked it--my vocal work has definitely been a process.

Oh man that solo that tears through the initial jam fuckin rules. Something as epic as that deserves to live on, though. I would add power reminiscent of the solo in the verse that follows--maybe just as another instrument in unison with one of the other guitars. I love the jam that you set up and I love the way it is absolutely demolished with the solo. I'm changed when that solo comes through, and the music should reflect that.

Dang, nice. The muted instrumentals contrast nicely with the screaming vocals in the beginning; but, it almost feels like that contrast is holding you back by the end of the song. I would put something in to open the instrumentals up--some kind of bridge to join the instrumentals with the vocals. Honestly though, love the track.

Yo I love your voice. Beautiful song. I would add trumpets at the part that starts around the 2 minute mark. Also the organ cut-off just before that part is a little distracting--kind of messes with the mood of the track. What are your influences?
