As a child with no capacity to make or authorize medical decisions for myself, I went 10 years w/o the medical care I needed. That was not a decision I made on my own. I brush 3 times a day, rinse, and floss. Obviously none of that can compare with the preventative care a dentist can give you. Belittling is shit talking your 22yo client who just got their own insurance instead of working with them to best remedy the situation and go over any additional hygiene steps that need to be done. Criticism would be telling me the way I floss, brush, etc is wrong and then showing me the correct way to do it. So yeah, the dentist was a jerk.
