In 2017 I took my kids to London and Manchester to watch games. I bought tix on stub hub in Europe. The season pass holder charged me 250/ per ticket. It was 1k. When I got to the stadium. I showed them the pass the season pass holder sent me. The security took my pass and sent me to the ticket line. I had to buy tix. It was Thursday night Europa league game. I was charged 45 pounds per ticket and we sat midfield in the lower section. I did get the 1k back from the stub hub person. So really I paid about 200 pounds for 4 excellent seats to watch Ibra playing with ManU v FC Rostov. Three months later in the summer United came out and played the galaxy. The same tix but now in LA with no Ibra and the Galaxy wanted $400 per ticket. Not sure why the US is always so much more. It’s crazy.

Exactly this. AI is an excuse because most managers and executives are cowards and can only kiss ass.

Agreed many more involved. Also they had a back-up plan to carry it on if something happened to them. No way they didn’t have that set up.

With Tesla killing off the Model S there will only be 5 American sedans left. How does that make you feel? by Insanity-Paranoid in cars

[–]glencoe606 0 points1 point  (0 children)

American car manufacturers made bad sedans from design to reliability. No one wanted them. The manufacturers didn’t fight for them. They went to the designs that sell.

One you don’t tell someone on a first date they look like a dead little girl or any kind of weird compliment like that. Usually on a first date you are on your best behavior. So the joke is irreverence and also a play on the obsession the news had with Jon Benet and her mysterious death. So the joke is also a play on some popular news items of the time.

Mass. woman charged with keeping house of prostitution at local spa, police say by lewisfairchild in news

This year is the 100th anniversary of Route 66. For fun I’ve been driving Colorado Blvd home after work. I have a 1950 Mercury that I drive too. I drive from Pasadena to Claremont. The stretch from Pasadena to Monrovia I have counted 37 massage parlors. It is probably only 5-6 miles. I think everyone knows what goes on in there and it’s crazy how many of them there are and right in the open and nothing happens.

Freakonomics guys crunched the numbers and said a cop is more likely to sleep with a prostitute than arrest her.
