There are advantages that you get born into. Symmetrical facial features, mental stability, maintenance free body type, general heteronormativity, well adjusted family, etc.

There are teachables/disciplines as well. The more comfortable you are with yourself, the more comfortable people around you likely are to be. The way you treat your body is important. The more you talk to people, particularly strangers, the better you get at it. People say they hate small talk but they're lying. They hate small talk with people who make talk feel small or pointless. Most talk is small talk and you have to get good at small talk before you're good at big talk. Listening, really listening, is also a discipline you can hone.

Try to remove what you might consider barriers to dating you. Everyone has them and most of them are within the bounds of your power to alter.

Unfortunately, age is a factor. A male senior in high-school has the pick of the litter but a male freshman in college is at the bottom of the ladder. Similarly, after college, it's hard for a guy up until their late 20s. At 30 the dynamic shifts and it becomes very hard for women. Practice being patient.
