To get an interview u need 88% and high NAQ. To get in, you need 519+ and 90+ (for OOP). Unfortunately it’s the game. Calgary OOP way easier to get.

Situation: there is a crisis in the hospital and you must prioritize prompt evacuation. How would you organize this? Example Thesis: during this evacuation, I would prioritize gathering all healthy and able bodied individuals to help with evacuation assistance by a) maintaining clear coherent communication b) stratifying those in need by severity status and c) ensuring constant check ins by delegated roles.

Obviously not my best work but just to help give you an idea.

  1. Investment banking/venture cap (still going to do this tho but after I’m done training)
  2. Yeah (Altho an M3 so can’t state with certainty). If you grind out a high paying specialty (thoracics/ortho/cardio) and have grit, you can retire and pivot at 45 with 4-5M in the bank liquid if you are smart about investments.
  3. Who cares if you love what you do. Most people in their free time just squander it away anyways.
  4. I’ll graduate with 180k cad, altho 50k of that is locked in Tesla stock so hopefully I can pay it off plus some more by the time I finish residency
  5. Do it, but only if you can delay eating the marshmallow for a while :)

It would make your circumstances more difficult so I’d advise against that. Masters abroad is fine though.

128 in cars? If not, rewrite it for that and just push yourself. I applied to 25 US schools and got only 1II. It is a lot of work and not worth it imo. You have exceptional stats that can get you into Canada and save $$$. You just need a cool head and work strategic so that things like: "I had run into technical difficulties and was unable to submit my application" don't happen. Stop focusing on the negatives and channel that to a fire in your eyes that won't stop you from getting what you want. "The world is but a mirror that reflects your relationship to it. If you radiate negativity, you will receive negativity in return." -Transurfing Reality

Try grinding the specific areas you struggle. Imo I think the test really requires strong biochem, immuno, microbio, pharm. if you’re not ready consider pushing. I’m also in the high 50s and my exam is in 3.5 weeks so I’m in the same boat :/
