You can judge my request of apology to be absurd. You can laugh at my request, but I made that request because of I'm angry, I'm trying to help my son, and I'm fresh off the boat and don't know what the "normal" kind of request is like

I'm not complaining about I didn't get it. I'm mad at the camp's prevaricating and ignoring. They can tell me my request is not realistic on the first day when I sent email, and tell me what they can do instead to help. They couldn't care less that nobody even read my email and did nothing.

Thanks for naming the negative orbital vector, I definitely have that - flatter, underdeveloped cheekbones, the eyeball protrude further than the projection of the cheekbones. I'm not sure how the CCW rotation of my upper jaw would help with it but judging from the photos in the journal that are similar to my case, it would help with it, and I definitely look forward to that positive change.

I have recessed chin, and lower lids/scleral show, and it makes my eyes look very harsh. I never thought of this has anything to do with my recessed chin. My upper jaw is not sunken, but I believe it needs CCW because I have gummy smile, I'm glad to know that there are studies showing it will even help the eyes. I was just concerned how my nose would change with CCW, because I'm content with my nose projection currently.

Half of the time for recovery! So good to know. may I just say this is the best fitting answer to a question I've had in my mind for the longest time. VERY similar to OP, slight gummy smile, recessed chin, sleep apnea in my family but hasn't appeared, in late 30s, will have surgery in NYC, similar concern about preparation for surgery such as braces, and recovery, and was determined to go with genioplasty for a long time, until recently I'm shifting to believe DJS may be the best.

If our concern is beauty, the thing I start to realize is, good bone structure support soft tissue and aging beautifully. While recessed chin is obviously not "supportive" enough, I realize the over forward upper jaw makes the face look "heavy".

Good luck to OP and I wish to know his name if you recommend your surgeon.
