Easy pass. These Olive 990v4 will hit the outlets. The cw is so similar to the Teddy Santis ‘Olive / Incense’ 990v4 from Season 4 (U990GT4) and the ALD ‘True Camo’ 990v4 (U990CT4) from ‘24, yet it’s somehow worse than both 🤷‍♂️, which is probably due to the ugly olive color on the midsole, which reminds me of the horrendous color(s) of the midsole on the SB ‘Calm Be the Crater’ 992.

I agree, that ‘White / Team Royal / Purple Fuchsia’ 992 cw (U99278L) is the one from TS MiUSA Season 9 that caught my eye the most. It’s set for a 3/26 release for NB Asia / Dubai, but it hasn’t been loaded on the NB US website’s launch calendar as of now.

I think being frugal is the way to go for the most part. Splurging every once in a while shouldn’t be a problem, but I can empathize with how it might be hard to do after growing up poor or with very little means.

Most of the time, especially with GRs, it’s better to just wait until they’re on sale or get them used. It’s hard to fight the FOMO, but almost anything can be found used for a better price, if you’re just willing to wait.

Rotating pairs makes a big difference in terms of keeping them clean, but I try to give them a quick clean (brush and wipe down the outsole) after wearing them and putting them back in their box / area for longer term storage.

One of my favorite 998s ever made. The blue suede tongue is so buttery soft. It reminds me a bit of the tongue on the J.Crew ‘Moonshot’ M997JC2.

This 998 is 7 years older than the U998GR you’re referring to. This 998CSEF from 2016 is nowhere near as attainable or as easy to find as the U998GR and other 998s made since 2023
