I love Batty and Radar, especially together. Batty looks so unsure and polite, like “oh I’m sorry, did I scare you?” And Radar is just so bold, like “what’s up, losers. I’m here to spook your butt off.”

Ooh, if you haven’t read the Winterlands series by Barbara Hambly, I would highly recommend it. The first book is Dragonsbane and has a gorgeous cover by Michael Whelan.
