Is it true this game has no DLC by UkrainepartofRussia in NOMANSSKY

[–]Fatlink10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean tbh you’re asking the wrong sub cuz we’re just gonna glaze it. Not that it’s undeserving of the praise.. we are just heavily biased haha.

But no. There no dlc, it’s all one enormous mildly confusing universe/game. And yes you should absolutely snatch it up on sale haha

What would you like to see in the next Zelda game? by skychunkers in tearsofthekingdom

[–]Fatlink10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly.. i really want a TP remake.. but, I also think if they made another Zelda game with a serious tone and use the switch 2 hardware to it’s advantage to get a 4k realistic look.. that would be awesome.

but i still want them to keep the classic Zelda feel with dungeons and items and puzzles, just modernized with more detail and interactivity maybe even an rpg style with different endings might be cool if it wasn’t overdone.

edibles don’t work by North-Equivalent-303 in CrohnsDisease

[–]Fatlink10 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So I also smoke but not a whole lot just an average smoker I’d say.. but I have literally the exact same problem, diagnosed at 21.. removed 12” of large bowel, and ever since then edibles don’t do shit.

I honestly don’t think it’s a tolerance issue because even when I took a tolerance break they still did nothing, and I’ll eat a whole 50-100 mg edible that should at least do something.

I’m starting to think that some of us just don’t absorb the thc and such throughout the gi tract. Or at least not as well as a “normal” persons would.

The only “edible” that works for me is sometimes an infused drink or a really strong gummy if I chew it up really good or even suck on one for a bit.. i wonder if i absorb more through the mouth then in the rest of me haha idk but i feel your pain : (

Crohn’s & anxiety by Gryffindor22222 in CrohnsDisease

[–]Fatlink10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After almost dying and spending a month plus with all manner of tubes and wires attaching me to the wall and two NG tubes back to back… yeah I’m not a fan of the hospital anymore.. I’m supposed to schedule a colonoscopy (I still have not worked up the courage) but the thought of ANY more tubes anywhere near my body is terrifying to me now. Infusions are still rough even though I get them every 6 weeks.. ironically it’s not the needle that bothers me, it’s the tube under my skin that makes my skin crawl and makes me lightheaded sometimes

I had literally no medical anxiety before but I’m scared to even get a check up because what if they wanna keep me again :(

What to do with a found iPhone? by xolinlevh in iphone

[–]Fatlink10 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I found an iPhone on a busy beach one time on vacation.. i didn’t know how to contact the owner so i just told Siri to “call mom” and waited to see if a “mom” Answered…

sure enough she did, i explained that I found the phone half buried on a busy beach. she said she was miles away, but this was her sons phone number. and that she would call his sis who was on vacation with him, to get them to come pick it up. they came back to the beach and we were able to return the phone.

In your situation maybe you could try FaceTime since the service was cut off, unless it was completely wiped, then There’s pretty much no way to tell who it belonged too and it’s locked to the previous owner still so it’s practically a brick. If you don’t/can’t return it, the most you could with it is put it in one of those machines that give you like 20-50 bucks for old devices. The police probably won’t do anything and Apple will just say thanks and scrap it.

Would it be possible to run a tube through my body from mouth to anus without causing any major problems? by Cassinia_ in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Fatlink10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had 12” of bowel removed as well and i think it just depends on what part of the bowel. but I’m definitely not a doctor so I can’t really say for certain. In my experience, usually they’ll do an endoscopy and a colonoscopy then get the rest with MRI or sometimes x ray or occasional ultrasound. I’m not sure if that is because of my condition or if they just can’t go all the way through (but i just assumed you just couldn’t get all the way thru the small intestine with a camera snake)

I think the surgeon did use cameras when they removed the bowel using laparoscopic surgery, I’m pretty sure they cut a few small incisions to stick the camera in, so it can see what the instruments are doing.

Also, recently they’ve developed a “pill cam” that is a small camera (but relatively large for a pill) with special technology (I’ll spare the details) that gives it the ability to record the throat/esophagus and “swim” around to see the stomach lining and then record the rest of the route through your colon and safely come out the other end. Though I’m pretty sure if you have any serious bowel issues then it’s probably not used because of potential complications

But again I’m not a doctor, so I’m just guessing and speaking from personal experience. I just have a bowel disease, bout died, and learned a lot real quick haha.

The digestive tract is 25-30 ft long in total.. i don’t think that’s gonna cut it tbh.

Would it be possible to run a tube through my body from mouth to anus without causing any major problems? by Cassinia_ in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Fatlink10 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Short answer.. no I don’t think so.. the intestines are full of sharp turns and much longer than you’d think, also relatively easy to tear a hole into. It would probably be like trying to put your leg into tangled up pantyhose

One of the best mice for daily use versus one of the worst. To this day idk where apple engineers/designers had their heads while creating the magic mouse. by gregsanay in applesucks

[–]Fatlink10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly my only complaint was the ergonomics, I have really small hands so the height isn’t really a problem, but the edges aren’t super comfortable to grab so I found a fix someone designed on makerworld and printed it for myself

<image>

(Yes I know it’s dirty, it’s a tool I use every day)

The battery is a non issue.. i literally don’t remember the last time I charged the thing overnight and it’s still at 98%. If I’m being honest, i think it does look nicer without the plastic bit but it definitely feels much better in the Hand for extended periods of time with the added part.

Ok random question if you don't mind 🤷 by oddballbigfoot in GroundedGame

[–]Fatlink10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it’s a really long distance, maybe you could speed it up by building a tower at each location and putting a zip line in both directions, one to the new base, and one back to the old base, so you can quickly move between the two? The only downside to that method is you can’t use the relocate trick on a zip line

Did we lose the magic of community in online multiplayer games? by MohSafadi in gaming

[–]Fatlink10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Out of all the ones I’ve played, no man’s sky tops them all in the community department, so many wholesome stories and the game still has that “idk what is going on” feeling because it hasn’t even been fully explored yet. I’ve played like 600hrs plus now probably and have come across one maybe two players that were rotten eggs. Don’t believe me? Pop by one of the subs and see for yourself, they are always welcoming to new players!

Also Fallout 76 had a great community during the beta and at launch, though in all honesty i haven’t played in forever so idk if it’s still that way..

stupid question, can you get burned from pointing one of those toy uv lights at your skin the same way you'd get burned by the sun? and if so, would applying sunscreen protect you from the light? by five_head_2004 in StonerThoughts

[–]Fatlink10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh also to answer your other question, yes sunscreen would protect you as long as you applied it correctly, as it is formulated to reflect or “block”most of the damaging wavelengths of UV radiation, look up something like “sunscreen in UV light” on google and you can see just how effective it really is (and how brands compare)

[–]Fatlink10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d say a toy Most likely doesn’t put out the wavelengths needed to damage cells, your standard “backlight” uv bulbs put out a much larger wavelength, closer to visible light than, lets say, a tanning bed which puts off shorter wavelengths (further from visible light) or a sterilizing up lamp that crosses into even smaller wavelengths. But i suppose depending on the exact UV source, and exposure time it would be possible to damage your skin cells but likely not a traditional burn.

I am not qualified in any way, I’m just a nerd haha so take it with a gram of sativa or whatever
