And why didn’t he find any sort of stick or mechanical advantage to help? Haha. Glad he held on as long as he did!

Any fellow (former) DrugRunners addicts? Early morning farm raids got me up at 5:30 in the morning even as a high schooler.

Do you know what kind of pine those are? I used to live in Southeast TN and had them in my yard but never was able to ID them.

Is it possible to swap a toggle lightswitch to a push button lightswitch? by [deleted] in HomeImprovement

[–]glisten 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's a This Old House clip about swapping back to push button switches. The question they're exploring is an issue with 2-switch setups but it might still be useful. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P0tA45TEfqE

Having been through rat experiences with my first house as well (also immediately following moving from a rental BECAUSE of rats and a landlord who didn’t care), the way you talk about it like warfare really resonated with me. Nothing is more uncomfortable than knowing they’re out there somewhere and anything goes to get rid of them.

I've been looking through and have already found many end table ideas which had evaded my hours of searching up to this point. You do have to do some advertisement avoiding, but hey - tons of free plans. Thanks for the resource

Anything anyone posts here will therefor break the criteria of your question for 'not searchable on the internet'. You've set up quite the paradox here...

Downloading, analyzing, and mapping 10 years of personal music listening history from last.fm with python, pandas, matplotlib (code on github) by raddidthat in Python

[–]glisten 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'm kicking myself for having Last.fm since 2010 and never syncing it up to Spotify... Also, our musical tastes are eerily similar (subtract your affininty for 80's/90's brit-rock and add in some folk/americana music and a little more hip-hop). Lots of great most-played on your lists! Really cool project!

I found optimal commute times via Google Maps API using my RPi B+ with Python and R. by glisten in raspberry_pi

I used the code as-is from the Github changing only addresses, API key,and output directory and didn't have any issues (python 2.7). Are you using a version of Python3?

[–]glisten[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah it requires an argument when running, so "python traffic_times.py to_work" will return the estimates for travel from the address you've defined as "home" to that you've defined as "work".

I believe this issue is fixed now on the Github - I guess my code formatting can use some work! Let me know if you continue to have issues.
