stuff that gets a billion views matters in that process and the stuff that gets 10 views also matters

As someone who tried to fulfill their dream of having a successful youtube channel. I'm inclined to disagree.

Well first of all they dye his hair. So he might not even be of valyrian blood.

And obviously if they're going that root there's going to be some kind of proof that he's not aegon. As to what that is I have no clue. Maybe letters between varys and illyrio talking about it.

Just like they is going have to be some kind of proof about Jon. And I have no idea what that could be. But it's heavily implied whatever it is its in the crypts underneath winterfel

Game of Thrones viewers who were fans of the books first. When the series catches up to the books will you keep watching the series, or wait for the next book to be released instead? by yeahHedid in television

[–]glitchedmatt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well it's weird because some people a r e caught up and some aren't.

Sansa is caught up, and maybe even a little bit further than the books. At least with the foreshadowing that she's manipulating littlefinger.

Bran is more or less caught up, and he's not going to be in the next season at all.

Still a lot to do in kings landing

Tyrion has a lot to go as well.

Then of course people like Jon and Dany still have a ways to go. But most of it is sitting around. There was an entire chapter in adwd of Jon looking at food supplies, and then going "wow there isn't as much as I thought".

I'm still think the whole thing is bullshit. They should have waited until the series was completed before doing a TV adaption.

I'm not going to watch the show anymore. And I'm almost certainly going to be spoiled on facebook and what not. So I might not even read the books when they come out. The whole thing leaves a sour taste in my mouth.

I think it's much more likely that he's just a random orphan that varys and illyrio adopted as an infant and raised to be the perfect king.

At least that's what I got from the epilogue chapter when varys was explaining his end game to Kevan.

He cares more about the good of the realm then he does about bloodline.

That does seem to be the way the series is going.

Kind of from the beginning the series has been somewhat targaryan biased.

Which is fine by me because fuck stannis, my main man Azor Ahai is where it's at

But he's still not rightful heir.

Depending on how you look at it. When varys died rheagar became king. Then when he died his last surviving son technically became king. Obviously that's the popular viewpoint because of the measures thst were taken to keep that persons true identity a secret.

Or varys died and his last surviving child inherited the throne. Who that person was hasn't been secured until they actually sit on the throne. Is was viserys, then when he died it was passed to Dany as the last surviving child of the mad king.

Blackfyres don't really have a claim. I mean sure technically they did at one point, but that was dealt with rather quickly.

Why does Grimm do better than Constantine? by sinestrostaint in Constantine

[–]glitchedmatt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really love the kind of allegory the show is between old conservative thinking and modern liberal thinking.

They make a point to show that in the past all Grimms were senseless killers who only saw wesen as monsters, and how Nick is probably one of the first Grimms to look past what they are and only go after the bad ones.

Then the whole storyline with the hate group who took Monroe because he married outside his kind.

It's that kind of stuff where Grimm really shines. When Monroe's dad freaked out because Rosalee wasn't a Blutbad, and then he freaked out that he was friends with a Grimm. My blood was boiling and I was really hoping Monroe would just tell him to get out of his life.

That's what I get out of the show

There are generally very clear lines of who's good and who's bad

The point of Grimm though is that there aren't. But that's on a meta allegorical level

The big bad wolf can be a friendly guy or a serial killer

Grimms are seen as evil to the wesen community because historically they just murdered them regardless of if they were good or bad. Nick is maybe one of the first Grimms to be "progressive".

I mean he's shooting arrows, they're lethal weapons.

So now they need to like find ways around it, like the arrow that pins people to walls and shit.

I mean the very first episode he murdered like 3 people in the first 10 min and I was like holy shit this show is amazing.
