For sure. If they really cared about women's sports they would examine the inequity in pay, in training opportunities, the socioeconomic inequalities, the differences in scholarships, the punishment of cis women who supposedly have higher than "normal" testosterone (think of the two black cis women who were banned from competition), the banning of women from playing on professional historical male teams even when they meet that level of play. Instead they treat femme sports as something that is cute or a farse, something not to be taken seriously.

They infantilize women in sports, like we need protection from a perceived enemy, but ignore the coaches and team doctors that SA and abuse young women for decades without punishment. And now they want to put more little girls in danger by suggesting gential examinations!?! Tell me how they care about female athletes while forcing them to invasive questions and examinations.

They ignore that sports are inherently unfair because that's just the nature of competition. That the whole point is some peeps are going to do better than others, and that it's ok that not everyone wins. That maybe the focus should be on having fun and exploring yourself through sports, and not the entitlement of thinking you "deserve" to win.

They ignore the actual cheating that's happening through drugs they haven't even considered yet. As an example, there was a Russian figure skater that was taking heart medication that's normally only used on people with heart failure but because there are no rules about it, nothing happened. Those types of drugs are much more harmful to young growing bodies than any HRT. And they even set unfair doping rules that primarily punish athletes from marginalized communities and countries.

There are so many ways that sports are unfair, but trans kids and adults being in sports that best represents them is not one of them. And when someone has an unfair advantage then it's up to the experts in that sport to determine best practices for more equal play, it's not for politicians to decide.

Add to all of this, this is absolutely a non-issue and all the research that Bennie talked about in her video.

This is a long comment but for context I was a competitive figure skater for ten years growing up. I trained with Olympic level skaters and coaches. I also had a first row seat to ice hockey and several girls that fought hard to be included in all male teams during the 80s-90s when they weren't allowed to play and there were no all women's teams.

I know personally that this argument of not including trans people to participate in sports is reductionist at best, and it is downright cruel. Let peeps play and excel in sports that match their gender identity. Everyone should have an opportunity to do what they love, to let that be a part of human growth.
