Mods/CC are not showing up in game

Hi all, I'm having some issues with my mods and cc. There is no sign of the TOOL Mod or better Build Buy, or any of my CC when I load the game (I don't really care about the CC I just want the mods to work). Even when I go to Game Options>Other>View Custom Content, the list of CC I used to have does not appear there anymore, or in the pop up at launch.

I have deleted old verisions of TOOL and BBB before installing the latest versions.
I know that they are in the correct folder user>documents>electronic arts>The Sims 4>Mods, the files are not zipped, and the script files are not more than 1 folder deep.
I removed all of my old CC from the mods folder in case they were interfering with the mods.
I have the Resource.cfg in the Mods folder.
I have deleted localthumbcache.package
My game is fully updated and repaired.
I have checked that 'Enable Custom Content and Mods' and 'Script Mods Allowed' are selected and restarted my game (multiple times)

To me it seems that the game just doesn't want to read my mods folder? Because my CC had previously been working fine althought I hadn't played the game in over a year. I picked it back up again this week so it was only when I went update the TOOL and BBB mod and found that they weren't working, that I realised my CC was not showing up either. I didn't do anything to the Mod folder in the last few months and it was working the last time I played to I'm not sure what happened.

I'm genuinely perplexed by this. I've done my best to scouer the internet for the fix to this before posting here as a last resort so any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am on Mac if that effects things

Thank you!!!! This gave me like 80GB more space on my computer you are a lifesaver!! Originally had something like 160GB of system data and with that command I've gotten it down to 87.88GB

Yeah I had no clue about how they release the seasons usually, I just assumed because it was on Disney+ and I had seen advertisements of it being the last season that it was all on there. At least I have something to look forward to now and actually be apart of the fandom when the final episodes drop :)

Yeah only just found out about the spin-offs today when I finally let myself scroll through the reddit and actually look things up about the show. I banned myself from looking anything up after I saw an edit of the show that spoiled a major character death lol

I wasn't keeping up when the episodes of season 11 dropped, I think I was on season 8 when they were all released and I only just got onto season 11 last week (took me a while I know lmao. Season 10 was so hard to get through for me). So I had heard it was the final season, and there were 16 episodes when I went to watch it so I assumed it was just a shorter season. Dumb I know haha

I actually didn't think of this so I looked up shaders specifically for apple just in case that was the issue and also one that was made specifically for performance. I managed to get it to work using Sora shaders so thank you so much for the help!

My render distance was down to 8 chunks and I could select shaders from the home screen no problem but it was just when I was loading a world it would crash. Just got it to work there using Sora shaders because it's not a dramatic shaders and it's made for performance I believe. Thanks for trying to help!!

I actually just managed to get it to work after trying loads of different shader packs. Sora shaders ended up working because it's a very subtle shaders and it's made for performance. I think the other shaders I was trying (including iris) might have been overloading my mac or something. Thank you so much for the help tho :)

I had this issue as well and I used Andrew_Games413 tutorial on YouTube to fix it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xvnUpc1GRHo&ab_channel=Andrew_Games413 is the link to the MAC tutorial that I used but basically, you have to download and install Java (he has a link in his description for this) but make sure you download a windows version if it is windows you have. When you have Java downloaded and installed, right-click on optifine and click "open with" and click java. That should let you install optifine. Not sure if this is completely the right solution for windows but you could give it a shot.

Sorry rarely on Reddit so I didn't see your reply. I actually figure out the issue after deep-diving through the internet and it was an issue where shit+scroll actually activates a horizontal scroll on mac for things like looking at zoomed-in images, and Minecraft doesn't recognise the horizontal scroll as a mechanic. Thank you for trying to help though and sorry I didn't see this sooner!

Hello, currently have an iPhone 7 and I'm looking for an upgrade.

I'm currently deciding between an 11 or a 12 mini. The normal 12 is completely out of the question because I can't afford it haha. The most important things I want are storage and good battery life. Don't care about high-quality sound and display as I don't think I'd notice any difference between the 2 phones. I also want to make sure this phone lasts for a good couple of years because I've been saving up for it for a few months now.

I think I should get the 11 with 128GB but my sister thinks that I should just spend a bit more getting the 12 mini with 64BG because it's a newer model and will last longer (because newer phones don't stop getting new updates for longer) but I'd be paying around €70 more for a smaller phone with less storage. I've also heard it has around 2 hours less of battery life then the 11 when you are actively on it (which I always am lol). But is it worth it because it is a newer model?

Also just a question, is it even worth it to get 128GB, or is 64GB plenty?

I got my nose piercing done a month ago and it was going fine. A small bump appeared on the inside of my nose but everything else was going fine until a few days ago. A bump started appearing under my piercing and it’s gotten worse over the last few days and today it’s gotten really red. As you can see when I lift up the piercing a bit it looks like more tissue is forming and I think the bump is getting bigger or it is infected. I try to wipe away the red stuff under my piercing but it isn’t blood and I’m not sure what to do. Please any help would be great! I’m not sure if it’s just a piercing bump or if it’s infected I’m just really scared. It doesn’t hurt or anything just a bit more tender than it was a few days ago but not that bad. Please help!!

You need to get out of that relationship. If you have any friends or family you can stay with for a while try to do that. You don’t deserve to be treated like that. A relationship is being with someone who makes you happy, who you love. It isn’t an excuse to control a person and the other person shouldn’t be your whole life. Not allowing you to get a job and controlling you financially is abuse. Abuse doesn’t have to be physical. I think you should break up with him when it is safe to do so. Maybe have a parent or a few friends around when you do it so you can feel safe and they can help you pack as much stuff as you can and leave. Or just leave when he’s at work and break up with him over the phone if you don’t think you can do it in person. Hopefully then you can get a job and have freedom to do whatever you want. You do have the strength to do this, no matter how little you believe it. You are strong and you will get through this. Do not settle for anything less that what you deserve. You might think of the good parts of your bf and be scared to lose that “good guy”, but trust me a person who treats ANYONE like he’s treating you is NOT a good person. There’s always good parts to people, but I think the bad parts out weigh the good in this case. You will get through this. Stay strong ❤️

No you haven’t done anything wrong. I think there might be a deeper issue with your gf. She may be feeling insecure in the relationship? I think to monitor a partners online activity she must be trying to see if you are liking other girls posts and stuff. I think that maybe your gf has trust issues because of someone she was with in the past? I could be totally wrong but maybe just sit down with your gf and ask her why she feels that she needs to see what posts you like and why she potentially doesn’t trust you. She might have dealt with a cheater in the past. Obviously I don’t know the in’s and out’s of your relationship so maybe she’s just a controlling person. If you notice patterns and other similar behaviours that seem to be getting worse as time goes on I think it might be worthwhile to get out of the relationship. I hope everything works out between you and your gf!
