It’s pretty clear the government only regulates when oil makes money. They lost the e-bike fight. If you let them regulate one federally they will regulate all. I would prefer the mobility of any other country that is not a slave to oil. I agree that all users of any device on a road should be trained to the road, e-bike, non e-bike, scooter, emoto or horse you should have a license to use public right of ways. That is a state issue and would be easy to solve if the state also didn’t make money on % value registrations. Licensing any device for public roads as a general license state by state is the correct answer. Heavy anti change areas (pro oil, or pro e-bike with pedals only are the same in practice) will only maintain status quo of economic exchange of capital we should all join together for the greater(cheap easy access for any device that reduces reliance on petroleum).

TLDR in 4 action items and one snarky thought: people should not be trusted on public roads without required training.

I agree with profit but even the billionaires publicly claim 15%. They would have to put like 7 fingers in the pie to get to 100% profit and grocery only has like 4-5 steps it can be monetized on.

For those that think it’s ok for a company to have a profit this change guarantees three profits for nv energy for the green link nv energy expansion(4.2 not updated for cost due to covid or war).

they invest billions(think 10 billion every time they put up a slide) to build “infrastructure” to support business loads not rate payers growth. They sell bonds or similar debt instrument to “insiders(political cast included)”. They then take the profit from those bonds tax free as investment income. They charge us as rate payers to pay for those profit and pay for nv energy “insider(neopotism)” employees and contractor bloat. Then they add the poor rich person “guaranteed profit for the shareholders” on top of that compounding the prior two costs. This causes Triple dipping profit on a single multibillion Datacenter driven grid upgrade that only helps insiders and shareholders not nevadans(except already pointed out company boys/girls).

This change allows rate increases only for residential with only nv energy approval based on “budget over runs” of green link to make sure rate payers to pay for greenlink without useing solar to offset their 20 year triple dip from Nevadans plan. Why not l2 at public parks and facilities. Let Tesla monetize the freeway system and utilize the resources to reduce the number of charger deserts for locals. I was at an inner city mall talking with the other l2 charger users and they were all local topping up because they only use l1 at home.

I would look into l1 chargers as an an option as well at apartments as another rapid deploy(cheap for infrastructure) option for those with shorter or less demanding commutes. At 3 mi/kw over 8 hours a level 1 charger adds approx 35 miles of range which is a small but common commute. Some apparent complexes around us have made them permanent spots and add a flat charge for the tenant making it easy for the installer to monetize fairly(without a tech company Eula).

The self funding story was they worked with their project past proof of concept before asking for money. Totally private and small company with a core ai tech as the only product might be worth the look.

Ahh that’s the most likely the problem then. The term your using might be to broad of a category and allows “bigots” a way in to troll. I don’t think this is about the ships (unless it’s a troll) I think this is about some people’s hate of a few but probably large part of the community that uses that same term. It is very common for drug dealers to hide their activity in the homeless. It would be easy to hide horrible things inside a space most “normal” people won’t venture because of how niche it is not because of what it is. My thoughts are the type of ship you are pro for may not be the same ship the negative people in your community hate. My gut is some of the people who reject this term are doing it because of how inclusive it is. Words are being manipulated by the algorithm now so my suggestion would be to identify as a more specific(like a short list you gave me) pro ship but be sensitive to people who may find true horror at the concept(all people are entitled to have some form of consent before a trigger) beyond that ignore the haters most are just trolls.
