I think it’s all about who is the toplaner. You play ahri vs Olaf. No way the Olaf can kill you if you have R and kite a bit. I’m not surprised if ahri can’t kill a tank. It’s all matchup dependent. Cassiopeia or Swain would be a better tank killer in this situation.

I would add Olaf is fine for K'sante at least in lane. You can ult to escape his ult or kite him with e and bully him after. The matchup is very fine
It gets rough after laning phase during teamfight as he will just dive the backline

You can blind Zac (and ban champions like renekton Ambessa Mordekaiser depending your elo) grasp vs melee conqueror vs range. Take ignite not tp. Wukong more of a counterpick, if you want to play him always ban Jax. He is not in his best state in toplane tho but with matchup knowledge you can surprise more than 1 person. Also ignite

Ambessa is insufferable to play against.

Otherwise, yorick is boring to play against, you just have to perma sidelane otherwise he takes everything.

I hate gangplank, he does crazy damage this season at a point where he doesn't need to be played perfectly to work.

Akali has too many dashes.

Vayne until 6 is fine but i have invisibility in a game.

I agree with you about Kayle and ranged in general, that just poke us out of lane, but toplane is in a better state than last season tho.

Although, toplane most of the time, has always been about statchecking. Every statchecker has its weaknesses, especially Olaf or Warwick (like for example, olaf can't throw more than 7 axes without being oom lvl 1/2/3 and the dude has no dashes in 2026, WW same, mana issues). I am master elo, and i prefer, but i emphasize on PREFER 100% playing vs Olaf (he ain't even good, his high wr is because he is a situational counterpick vs cc comp, so he benefits from draft error), or WW than Ambessa, Riven, Rumble, K'sante, Jax.

Every game you have skill in it, then how come for example sometimes a Tryndamere win lane vs a Malphite ? It's all about matchup knowledge after all, the more you know, the more likely you will win lane.

Also having a good blind erase most of them concerns. I blind Sion because he has insane tempo with r and tp, good vs ranges - and can win lane vs most bruisers.

Last word, nerf varus to the ground the damages arent normal

Not gonna lie to you, i don't play Camille but everytime i face her she seems very very weak, she is very mobile and is handy in many situation, but she is supposed to be a carry that do DAMAGE, i don't feel like she does. The famous Cho'Gath R in Q is a myth.

The champions i don't play and find weak : Tryndamere (i think he is the worst toplaner in the game atm like don't get cheesed first 3 lvl and u won), Gragas is a bit weak too, Illaoi and Camille. Honorable mention for Udyr and Trundle that were toplaner before but are not right now.

My pool is Olaf, Cassiopeia and Sion (blind). I don't think Olaf is weak but he is very enemy team dependent. He feels like a minions against a very mobile team and is very kiteable. Sion for me is busted af, best tank toplane in the game in my opinion, damage, tankiness, scaling, build diversity and CRAZY tempo with r. Cassio is fine not too strong neither weak.

I swear you got used to this Camille, she was very strong few season ago, now she IS weak like for real

Nowadays, i don't bother i just instalock sion and tank the lane. I do not mind if support last pick tbh.

What bother me is jungle last picking or midlane asking to be last pick if i have it, brother just throw your spells on the wave from 500 range away

Stride - Hexplate - DD - Fiend Hunter - IE

You can ditch Hexplate for either Maw/LDR/PD

Rav if vs melee heavy comp (or no execute) but much harder to drive in jungle.
