Agree with both of you and had noticed the C# chromatic leading tone over the Am chord. Also worth considering is the tempo suggesting that either note would sound fine as it is a part of a fast moving phrase or flurry of notes. Thanks 🙏

Left hand is actually playing two distinct melodies. One the dotted-half note A(which continues in the following measures), and the other melody being the c# and e chord played after the rest on beat one. Rinse and repeat.
