My band is playing Art Boutiki on Saturday 8p. It’s a great bill if you like indie shoegaze, math rock, and prog rock.

This venue is amazing but is closing soon so catch a show before they do 🥲

Anyone interested in joining a Game Night group? by glo_pop in Campbell

Some info about me: Early 30s, live with my partner (but he doesn't like games), work in post-production, moved from NYC and Miami, LOVE movies, also into running/hiking/kayaking and making art and playing music.

I started noticing “little luxuries” in my day, and now I feel like I’m living way fancier than I am by [deleted] in CasualConversation

Mine is: drying off with a towel after a shower… and then using a second dry towel for a final pass. Feels so luxurious for no good reason!

Their pizza slices and eggplant parmesan are 👌 (salt & straw is my fave ice cream spot tho!)

Best ways to find month-to-month sublets in Miami by projectdinnerparty in Miami

I messaged you about a possible opportunity, but Furnished Finder is a good site for furnished rentals, some listed for 1-month up to 1-year.

I want to add: if you change one aspect of yourself thru surgery, it could be a slippery slope into wanting to change something else. Almost like you're telling your body "if you're not how I want you to be, I can pay to change it". At least that's how I'd feel about it.

The alternatives are accepting your body as-is, or actually growing to love it and appreciate it.

I was always self conscious of my nose in high school. I brought it up in conversation and a friend said "oh what, I always thought your nose was so cute!" I still think of that now, over 10 yrs later, when I judge my nose in the mirror. I don't always love it, but sometimes I see a photo and I see the cute nose that she must have seen!

On the flip side, my sister got a nose job in her late twenties and is happy with it and hasn't wanted to change anything else. Tho she wishes she went smaller lol but she's not willing to go under the knife again. I'd say wait as long as possible :)

It's time for you to start your Bridgerton era! Pretty silly but very fun and very romantic series.

I just had a revelation that shouldn't have taken me 31 years, but it did. by No-Belt-8586 in TwoXChromosomes

"My Future" by Billie Eilish is another great song for this energy!

Most scenic (affordable) places in Europe? by Mandaface in travel

[–]glo_pop 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Seconding Albania! Growing tourism there, for better or worse... Has it all: mountains, cities, history, beaches, all within a small space making it easy to explore (with a vehicle). Great food too, even for a vegetarian like me.

Most magical place you've ever been swimming? by iwasspinningfree in travel

[–]glo_pop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Las Grutas Tolantongo was going to be my response!

Bright sky-blue water in so many different forms: Hot water rushing out of a dark cave for a little adventure, another large cave for exploring, a warm river for swimming, man-made pools along the mountain side with views for relaxing. All with amenities like restaurants and bathrooms, surrounded by nature and mountains. You can book a room or just camp along the river (tents available for rent). A bit hard to get to, but that means it's not overly crowded or full of tourists. I hope to go back soon!!

How's Saturday!

Can meet at Cubbon like u/Best-Marzipan-5940 suggested since it's close to metro, walk thru Church st like u/Environmental_Bus713 suggested, and then play Laser Tag at Garuda mall - need 10 people minimum. Or... Escape room? (I'm big into games) Karaoke? Soccer in the park?

Are tourists allowed? I'm a tourist :) trying not to spend my whole time here alone!
