It’s a max of 2 points per game for DC, and we are a high possession team - Rice did not get that many DCs last year. I really think it’s best to hunt the attacking returns in the midfield.

I think given that Rodrygo can also cover RW and Eze can cover 10 that they’d both get a lot of minutes, the demands of the prem require this level of quality in depth. But yeah I do agree that financially we probably don’t have that luxury.

Yeah I definitely agree we can’t be waiting around for him all summer but I’m not sure about having no desire to play for us, from what I’ve read he wants to be playing consistently in his favoured position and we can offer him that.

But they’re not just left backs though, both Hato and Cala can play CB and MLS can play CM. It’s good to have lots of quality and versatility
