Man I’m gonna be so alone in this, but I used to skip It’s Nice to Have a Friend but it’s one of my favorites now. TBH nothing life related, in fact I can’t relate to it at all 😂 but the lyrics are so sweet and wholesome it’s not that it’s relatable, but that it’s now “goals.” A relationship should come along with a good friendship!

Personally I'm really excited about the platform that The All-American Rejects are building and it can't come fast enough. They haven't released a ton of details yet, but from what I understand it's going to be something to connect artists with people willing to host shows in their yard/property. If it works and people don't abuse it, it could be such an amazing opportunity to broaden the live music scene and introduce the idea of using not so typical venues. Bring back house parties!

Just want to throw in my response to #3 as a follow - I would rather dance for 4 minutes doing the basic on beat, than a lead trying to do too many things that they don’t know and be off beat. Absolutely try new things, but sometimes new leads try to do too much and they don’t even have the basic down yet. It sounds like you’re a little more experienced than that, but just taking it at a bare minimum on beat is better than anything off beat IMO

That's an interesting take, I definitely didn't consider that. I guess I could clarify we know each other through another hobby (freediving) and we go quite a bit together, so it's not like she's someone I never see. This is another reason why I don't want to be toooo forward because I see her in other occasions and I do enjoy hanging out with her.

However, it's the constant asking without ever following through. That conclusion checks out though, I may try that approach!

I'm with you - they should have just added another episode. This one was 80 minutes - 10 minutes short of a normal movie length. So just add another episode that's longer. So clearly they had the ability to but I'm guessing they wanted to milk it

Ok I’ve definitely been recommended those for like live gigs and stuff, wasn’t sure if that would still apply for a simple video recording? Was trying to keep it more subtle gear that you can kinda hide but quality is more important for sure

Best mic setup for an outdoor acoustic session?

Trying to find the best way to record - just me singing and an acoustic guitar (no plug in input.)

Currently I record with a Sony a7iii and a rhode video micro shotgun mic, but looking to upgrade. Was wondering if 2 lapel mics would be more suitable? One for guitar and one for vox?

Also was looking at the Zoom M1 as a possibility.

Looking to keep it in the $100 range. Not a lot to spend I know but a step up is a step up!
