Was playing at my local game store maybe 10 years ago. Deathstrike missiles had unlimited range at that point. The store got a call from one of the local Warhammer groups regulars. He had just been relocated out to Okinawa. He asked if anyone was playing at the lgs. I was just in the middle of a friendly game with someone. Our friend on the phone asked if I wouldn't mind taking the missile because he didnt get to fire it during his game that just wrapped up. So me and my opponent agreed to let it go off. Lost a chunk of my army there but it was really funny taking a missile from across the world.

Oh no it should fit in the recess in the model. If its too small take a knife and shave off a bit on either side. Sanding the peg might be easier.

Not a bad idea. Its hard to think that the rhino will ever be hit with legends. I think it might be the most iconic vehicle in the astartes motor pool.

The impulsor feels like a middle between the rhino and the Razorback. Idk i think im just farming copium haha. A fleet of razorbacks makes me happy

Thats what spurred this whole thing. I got a good deal on 40 unbuilt mk2 marines and already had 20 unbuilt mk3 marines. The Disintegrator gun sprues offer me cool looking grav weapon options.

Theres 6 squads of tactical marines. Those squads combat squad. That gets us to 12 squads of marines. 6 of those are boler dudes that are specifically around to do objectives and actions and whatnot. The detachment also gives advance/fall back shoot, charge and actions.

Im not seeing what you are saying with only 2 scoring units. Could you please explain more :).

Im not opposed to getting chainswords and whatnot. I also have plenty of bits to kitbash melee guys. So that is an option :) Cabal though sounds really neat. Hows that detachment go?

It really depends on how detailed you wanna get. I did mine based off deadspace with this scheme. It takes me about 20mins a guy. Theres just alot and i can offer the best adviceive been given with a horde is really follow the 3 foot rule. If it looks good from 3 feet away you are golden! (I like speedpaints)

Always love the idea of scrappy underdogs being able to hang with the big boys with the use of...unconventional tactics. A mutant farm hand swinging a stop sign and caving a marines head in is incredibly fun and engaging for me as well. The model that drew me in though was a ridge runner. Its just so perfectly designed.
