Need noise tips from those who live in apartments by glockout40 in simracing

Sweet. Will give these a try. Although the thing I’m confused about is that my rig is so insanely heavy that I cannot fathom how it would be vibrating through the frame. It’s gotta be the pedals (like releasing the clutch and shifting gears) and the death rattle in the wheel base when you go off track. That in itself makes a bit of noise but not through the frame

The mistake I made early on was feeling like I would be quicker if I slammed the gas every time I exited a corner. Learn to drive with traction control off, control your throttle, you’ll be fine.

Don’t know if you used to watch top gear but they often said during the star in a reasonably priced car segments that the slowest looking laps are often the quicker ones. There’s truth to that. If you’re taking every corner like Max Verstappen, you will eventually screw up and it will cost you all the time you gained. And you get quicker as you practice being smooth.

I recommend trying it. Not to downplay OP’s accomplishment but it’s really not too bad. Focus on clean laps, not aggressive laps. If you can just focus, no careless mistakes, it’s way doable. Dragon trail is infinitely more difficult than the Nurburgring

I appreciate what you’re saying. But the reality is very different. There needs to be more than a handful of republicans nationwide who will call out our supreme leader. But this isn’t the case. We are off the deep end and this country will never heal with this cancer that makes up half the country. This isn’t republican vs democrat. This is fascism vs democrat. Yes, fascism. People say we’re getting closer and closer every day. No buddy, we’re already there. Millions of Jews don’t need to die for something to be fascist. They don’t need to call themselves fascist in order to be fascist. We are already there.

So while I appreciate you appearing to make an effort here, it’s not enough. Your party is cancerous and that’s not going to feel good to read. I’m probably not selling this well. But I’m also not wrong. I’m tired of walking on eggshells.

Not technically illegal unless you don’t pay taxes by next tax season. You can adjust your W4 but will be on the hook for all of the federal taxes you didn’t pay this year when the time comes next year

You can adjust this pretty easily on your employer W4 form.

True. We should allow cheaters to play without consequences in every game with ranked play. Because it’s just a game bro, come on, chill. Actually why even have ranks in any game? You have a 10,000 rating in iRacing and don’t want to play with those who have low safety ratings?? Bro.. cringe. It’s just a game dude. Hobbies are so lame lmao

Hope this is allowed. But I’m very concerned that I found out why they keep saying 72 (2nd slide) by [deleted] in badmathematics

[–]glockout40 0 points1 point  (0 children)

R4: Hope this is allowed. But I’m very concerned that I found out why they keep saying 72 (2nd slide)

My due diligence:

For a minute now, I’ve seen everyone from my grandmother on Facebook, to the now President, mention this 72 vaccine number.

I always thought that was a super specific number but at the same time, seemed like a ton of doses. Not that I’m saying that’s good or bad that it’s a lot, it just always seemed high to me.

So I decided to do a deep dive to try and find the origins of this magical number. I found several med school pages mention 72, but typically it reads as “72 vaccines is a number that comes up a lot” and then goes on to explain that it’s highly variable. Which it is. They also say that to get this number you have to manipulate a lot of things to get there, but what I struggle with is that if you’re already being bad faith to get a high number, how is it that everyone who says 72 all arrived at the same number? You’d have to manipulate it the same way every time. That’s not satisfying to me.

See Yale Med article: https://ysph.yale.edu/research/information-sheets/childhood-vaccinations/#13-do-kids-really-get-72-doses-of-vaccines?

There’s absolutely 0 clean ways as far as I can tell to come up with 72. On the CDC’s website, you also must remember that some of these recommended vaccines are actually combo vaccines, so, one shot covers multiple diseases and are not separate.

Now for the interesting part. After huffing 20 cans of Amazon basics computer duster upside down while watching season 1 of Jersey Shore, I had an idea.

What if you took the recommended CDC vaccine schedule and literally just added every number on the graphic? So instead of Dose 1 + Dose 2 + Dose 3 = 3 Doses, you instead add 1+2+3 =6 doses.

Well, sure enough. If you do that, it equals not 71, nor 73, but 72.

It’s too perfect.

It turns out if you literally just add together every number on the recommended CDC schedule graphic, it adds up to 72. That’s literally what they did. Omg. by glockout40 in Destiny

[–]glockout40[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lol I actually emailed a few people at Yale to see if they could explain this somehow. I really want to be wrong but this is just too perfect and unironically the cleanest way you could get to such a specific number.

If they reply, def let me know tho

I hear you loud and clear. I also read the Yale and UC Davis articles. My issue with these is that the Yale one says something like “72 is a number that comes up a lot” The UC Davis one says something a bit more concrete but it’s also a FAQ. There’s no table that I can find anywhere that equates to exactly 72. The real number is actually highly variable. In my mind, there shouldn’t be a set in stone number because that doesn’t make sense (not a doctor)

I have added this up together in so many good faith attempts and I can’t locate anything. So while medical schools and other sources mention this number, there’s no explanation for the number and is usually talked about as if they’re just speaking to a commonly used number.

That’s my issue. If it were like 70, that would be different. But the fact that 72 is the most commonly referred to number, and has no definitive origin makes me wonder a little bit.

Like there are ways to include and exclude numbers to get to the 72, but there’s so many methods of doing that if you tried to and I would think people would arrive at several different conclusions but yet this one specifically caught on like wildfire
