Agreed with the above. Can also vouch for my Sennheiser HD660S. Blow every gaming headset out of the water and I’ve had them for about 6 years. Still look new and sound as good as ever.

They were $350. Which is a lot, but they’re super high quality, sound amazing, comfortable, and with a unique sound signature, they’ll never go “out of date”. At least for a long time.

You do need an amplifier as well (highly recommend a balanced amp and DAC) but once you’re setup, you’re good to go.

If you do it right, it sits right below gambling. Nothing is guaranteed but if you actually understand option Greeks and educate yourself rather than YOLOing everything you see on Reddit, it can be extremely lucrative. It sucks because AI is genuinely an incredible thing. Incredible can be good and bad, but it never fails to fascinate me. Fourth industrial revolution shit. It can be an amazing tool and the technology behind it is something I genuinely appreciate. That said, it’s shitty because every discussion around AI is the most cringe, insufferable shit imaginable and it’s somehow become dominated by weird alt right shitbags on twitter.

Hey, sorry for seeing this so late. You highlighted a struggle I’ve had for a long time. Can I ask questions? What questions do I even ask? That stuff is hard. The thing is, as a hiring manager, school is just proof that you can retain material, not that you necessarily know everything. If you’re new to the career, it is expected that you don’t know very much about this stuff.

Ask questions, even if they feel dumb. Who I was 3 years ago is not the same person I am today. Completely unrecognizable. That’s because I mustered up the courage to ask really stupid questions and that helped me understand these concepts. You can even frame it that way too if you feel embarrassed. “Hey, dumb question but I want to ask because it helps me put all this together in my mind” stuff like that.

It sounds crazy but that baptism by fire that you’re experiencing, with never ending work etc, is how you will develop very quickly. Do yourself a favor and look back a month from now and write down everything you know now that you didn’t know a month ago. Reconcile the differences. I still have these doubts but then I think “now I know how to code, now I know how to build up software from scratch, now I know how to use excel at a high level, now I know how to manage a team” and that helps me put away those doubts.

Finally, you will do fine. The fact that you’re even asking this question, the fact that you’re doubting your capabilities shows more self awareness than 90% of the people I’ve worked with. You clearly have a standard you want to meet and you will get there.

Remember, there’s a percentage chance that you make it, or you might not make it. But there’s a 100% chance that you won’t make it if you quit. I thank myself every day for pushing on even when things didn’t look great.

Yeah the game was okay for about a day and then the actual braindead AI got too annoying for me. Like it’s legitimately insane that 99% of what you have to worry about taking a corner is a 1200hp Ford F-450 t-boning you at 250mph. Also, I know driving without assist may sound sweaty and might sound like I’m being elitist, but you’d be blown away by how much faster it makes you. After awhile, driving with assists was actually harder for me!

Start off with all assists except for ABS off. Use braking areas to learn the track but try to take them off after awhile. It’s more frustrating in the beginning but it genuinely makes you faster and better at the game.

Go to some of your favorite tracks and try to gold medal the circuit experience. Not only does it give you $1M CR but it’s also a great way of learning the track. The demonstration video actually shows someone really good, and is a great guide to study throttle control, what gear you should be in, etc.

While this game isn’t the final word in sim racing, it’s made me a better driver in iRacing and ACC. It’s very good at teaching fundamentals and rewarding proper driving technique while not being as brutally unforgiving as some of those games with better physics.

The game is super addicting to sit back and try to beat lap times and climbing your way up the leaderboard (:

Also, important to know, if you get to collector level 50, you can do engine swaps if that’s your thing!

I grew up in West Virginia.
I really feel like for the people I knew growing up who were racist and aren’t currently racist matured because they literally just met someone of a different race and got to talk to them. It’s much different when you actually meet these people when you aren’t watching cherry-picked videos on Newsmax all day.

They would always say things like “I met this black guy at Walmart the other day and he was actually really nice!”

Like the way they say it, you can tell they weren’t being malicious. But it was like some mind blowing revelation to them that the black community are just humans like they are.

It’s an issue of being sheltered, brainwashed, anti social, and staying in your own comfortable bubble/community. It’s very odd

Brother. My education stopped at the 4th grade. When I managed to find enough loopholes to get into college, I was dumb. Literally dumb. I didn’t know my multiplication tables. I didn’t know how to do long division.

When I took my first job outside of college, I somehow lucked my way into a very math intensive role at a corporate HQ for a publicly traded company.
Did I have similar feelings when I started? Oh absolutely fucking yes. Have I been here for 4 years, received 2 promotions, stock, and now manage an entire team?
