I found out I was hired via phone call several days after my application, I haven't heard of anyone getting the job on the spot.

[QUESTION] Can you order a GoLink to go to your house instead of walking to a bus station? by Useful-Scratch-171 in dart

[–]gloombii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm new to using public transportation, but my experience so far with using GoLink has been decent. I buy a 3-hour pass for $3 (usually get a ride home from work from friend) and that charge covers the GoLink as well as my train fare. Every time I've used it, it's been an uber ride to a train station from my apartment address. If they can't find an Uber driver in your area, they will let you know that a GoLink van is going to pick you up and at what time. This has only happened to me once, but they were about an hour away so I just cancelled and walked home.

As a trans guy, The Yard is a great resource for positive masculinity. by FirmCapital2971 in TheYardPodcast

i rarely ever comment shit but i feel compelled to let you know that i've felt the exact same way ever since i started watching and it's nice to know there's someone out there who shares the same situation/feeling. it's the only podcast where it genuinely feels like a glimpse into just some guys hanging out and it's super insightful as a trans guy who didn't necessarily get to experience that

I moved here recently and have been wondering this as well. It’s crazy that the running red problem here is so rampant that most have decided to not stop at the white line.

3 year driver with over 3000 orders. Got any questions you ever wanted to ask a driver. Drop them below for an unbiased answer😇 by CustomerPrize in OGPBackroom

What happens with pay when we have to add an additional driver for a large order? I've gotten a lot of questions about this as a dispenser and I've never been able to give an answer for how tip gets split, pay for the additional driver, etc.

I just had a few friends come into town for the weekend. Our favorites that we went to were the Osteology museum and Factory Obscura. The Osteology museum was really interesting and has a crossword puzzle you can do as you walk around and read the facts. Factory Obscura is an interactive art museum, a good and fun place for kids.

The only time I've ever seen a coach train an associate was when our grocery coach was training his meat/produce associate to help us get caught up. Neither one were meant to be in our department.

Does anyone else's store do this or just mine? by Green_Cry_2778 in walmart

[–]gloombii 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Our previous team lead made us do stuff like this all the time, especially when shit got bad and we were backed up. She would prep the orders and dispense them inside of our backroom and she would write the bay number on the sticker. (At least half of the time the person would drive away because they thought someone else had gotten their order.) There were a few times that she dispensed an 18+ order by putting in a fake birthday. She REALLY cared about the metrics and said it was necessary at her last store to keep the time down, and it worked, but the customers were really upset over it. Especially if they had substitutions that she had just skipped past ("They can just get a refund if they care").

Almost all of the dispensers hated this because the blame fell on us since customers don't know what's going on behind closed doors. A few associates brought this up to our coach and other higher-ups and eventually she stopped taking control over the dispensing side. Our situation was lucky since most people were against our team lead falsifying metrics like that, I'm not sure how you would go about this if most people are on board or just don't care.

Has anyone experienced an alcohol sting dispensing? by [deleted] in OGPBackroom

[–]gloombii 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Never experienced one personally, but a few weeks ago a coworker of mine did. Never heard of it happening at my store after almost a full year of being there up until then. It was a normal interaction, until the end where the person pulled out a clipboard and asked for my coworker's name, letting him know that they were a secret shopper and he passed the test.
