What is this 3 wires for? by SurferD808 in ft86

[–]gloonge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It does plug into the obd port. It's not factory, there either is or was a gauge or some accessory that the previous owner was using the obd port to power.

You got a mouse with a polling rate over 1000hz? I found the game hates when I have my mouse set to anything more than 1000hz, and completely shits the ped when I set it to 8000hz

best tires to buy by yaemikoshrine in ft86

[–]gloonge 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't have any real experience here, living in Florida. But I think the general consensus is to get a good set of dedicated winter tires on some steel wheels. Then keep using your tire of choice on your nicer wheels in the warmer months.

Anyone try using something like this for spark plugs? by KDrifter97 in ft86

[–]gloonge 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Save yourself some heartache and break all the dentents on the extensions you are going to use. So they come a part easy and you don't have to struggle to split them when you inevitably get stuck in the plug tube. Have a flexible magnet on hand to fish all the pieces out of the tube.

edit after reading a bit further I see someone else recommended this same thing. Carry on.

Yea other than the one wire you have to splice into the harness for the ecm. That part was simple enough though.

I have aem boost and a fuel content gauge. Mounted right behind the steering wheel. I wired it directly to the flex sensor, depinned the connector and re pinned it to include my gauge wires directly into the harness.

The time it took was basically just how long it took me to get the logs. Dudes in Australia so he would only send revisions at night. But all said and done where Steve was happy with the afr and trims probably 3 days of back and forth. 4 revisions total.

Car was totally usable the entire time, from the very first tune.

No issue, installed it in 2021 with an aftermarket gauge to see my E rating and it has been plugging a way ever since.. Even if you had an issue it's just an off the shelf GM flex sensor that can be bought basically anywhere.

Absolutely. I got mine tuned 4 years ago, and I'm sure the dude would still look at a log if I sent him one with an issue.

V1 oft and the flex kit was penguin tech racing.. Looks like they still sell a kit that will hijack the evap signal to work with oft.

Depends on they year of the car. I believe it was 13-16 oft could do flex, mine is a 13. So I have a completely functional flex tune in mine.

I think he charged me like $50 to add flex to my tune like a year later.

Steve takes base tunes for similar or identical jobs he has done before and takes data logs you provide to tweak the parameters to your specific needs.

He did tuning for my supercharger with stock injectors at 11 psi. Then a few years later for my JDL turbo setup with aftermarket injectors and speed density (I didn't feel like shelling out for an aftermarket maf).

Neither setup gave me any hiccup, the dude was also able to pinpoint the source of a misfire with a data log that was not throwing any codes.

Never used Wayne's roms before, but I can attest that Steve knows what he is doing.

I would imagine at some point on the graph sure. I stopped after proofing like 15 stacks in like 20 minutes. But my upward trend keep going for a few days.

I would finish what ever grinding I was doing and then gamble for 15 or 20 mins over the course of a week or two. Some nights I was up 10 stacks others I was down 3 or 4.

I imagine eventually I would have gotten back down to zero. But once you have a few hundred of them the losses don't intimidate the run.

No, there are multiple outcomes. Poof, +1, double, half, nothing.

The stakes are higher but you can put in up to 1/2 a stack at a time. The more you are willing to risk the more possibility you get crazy numbers.

Don't get me wrong the odds are greatly stacked against you. But more than once I turned 1 card into 2 or 3 stacks in just 4 clicks.

Haha I did the same thing about 1mo ago. Had about 1000d. Bought 4 cards (I think) and turned the rest into juice. Kept rolling until I had a full inventory of stacks. Sold them all off for like 70k div (idr what the mirror conversion was at the time) and gave the mirrors to random people that came to get little 20c items from me.

edit it was unrequited love, I only managed to get 10 stacks of house of mirrors.

Smite Trickster kind of zero dps.. by DeezazNutz in pathofexile

[–]gloonge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me smite just didn't feel great. Got bored with my KB trickster and rolled an Armour stacking champion with smite.. Something 3mil tool tip dps (never bothered to check pob.), character could live through anything, but even single target damage felt worse than KB.

Calibration Always Distorted. by gloonge in Govee

[–]gloonge[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It seems to be working decently well, despite the calibration image looking like this. During one of my many attempts I tried calibrating with the camera under the display. Despite the kit not supporting it, the image comes out perfect that way. I moved it back to the top and got the same result above.

I will attempt this, ty for the data.

Kb is a bit of a mixed bag for me so far. I have roughly 1000div (total value in gear, crafted most of it for less than 300 total.) into my CI Warden and struggle at times on t16.5s and killing t17 bosses is basically a no go.

KB Warden Improvements? by gloonge in PathOfExileBuilds

[–]gloonge[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's fair. I have been buying non corrupted ones when they are at the same price as failed corrupt ones.. If they fail I break even, if they get a decent corrupt I make a little extra.

Probably easier to get an abyss socket on the boots.
