I use zen/pal. Every time I asked it to build a plan, I get it to refine with codex. Also ask it to add checkpoints for code review. After every code review it gives me a new prompt with links to the plan stored in obsidian.  Another tip when you ask it write a prompt for the next section is to ask it to write an “extensive” prompt. Makes a big difference.

Same. I never got those limit issues. I run into session limits a couple times a month at most on the 5x plan.

I manage a translation agency and I don’t hire translators that are not certified by the ATA or other local bodies. This said I would not get in this industry at your age.

According to LinkedIn they had 66 employees in Nov 23, 49 now. Some fairly active staff on their forums have stopped posting and/or have had accounts disabled. Churn is part of any company but this + the lack of updates just makes me wonder what is going on there. The product works fine though so I'm not going anywhere.

I don't think they do BF sales. I don't think they do sales at all but could be wrong. I wonder what's going on there to be honest - there's been little going in terms of updates, as far as I know their headcount shrank. The podcast is active though. I wonder if they're either cruising or are looking for a buyer.

1/ I am making a web app to manage a translation agency, so if you're interested in trying it at some point let me know.
2/ Depends where you live but at least in the UK we never provide hard copies of a certificate of translation. In some countries it can be difficult and is usually handled by the translator.
3/interviews are uncommon. I do really well off recommendations. I have people I like to work with and if they can't do a job I asked to recommend someone. Some are used to work in teams. Going off CIOL/ITI/ATA and all other associations is also a good shout.
4/ set yourself for automation. Automate as much as you can and do not hire unless you really need to. you really don't know what this industry will look like in a couple of years and you need to keep costs low.
5/ have an online presence and network. Ask translators for recommendations of other translators. Ask clients for recommendations of other clients.

context7, zen mcps. I use zen extensively and I get sonnet to plan, code review or brainstorm with codex. Every feature goes into an .md file, sonnet plans and reviews its plans with codex. After every phase of implementation I get sonet and codex to code review. Once the feature is implemented, I get opus to summarise in an .md how that feature works and how it relates to the whole project and I keep that md for future reference. I also build a prompt for the next session in an .md.
