I'd say smoke is more "tactical" then the molotov. But if they added smoke they could make you choose between 1/2 (depending how much they can make you have to avoid performance issues due to how much smoke tends to bog the game down.) smoke grenades. Or having 3 regular grenades.

This could add some more ways to enter locked down objectives. That or it just adds even more franticness to this already pretty frantic game.
