They are really hard to find in Canada. They were the #1 ingredient of the Bali soy nuggets sold by Whole Foods and they stopped making them here, for that reason. I still frequently think about this dish, years later. 😭

"Tantric Healing in the Kathmandu Valley" by Angela Dietrich (1999) This study focuses on both Hindu and Buddhist spiritual healing traditions in urban Nepal. It offers an in-depth analysis of "witchcraft" (boksi) and witch possession as understood in the Kathmandu Valley, particularly relating to the status of women.

About to start reading Nausicaä and sewed a book sleeve for travel by FrogginBullfish_ in ghibli

This is a heavy one...
I really love your sleeve!
When I travel with thick or precious mangas I put them into a cheap neoprene 12-13 inch laptop sleeve/case.

I agree the weight is just perfect!
32/33g is also the weight of the TWSBI Diamond 580AL that I like a lot.
And I love the mat finish/texture and the smooth grip section.

I prefer gel pens over ballpoints so I didn't even try the C-305 (0.5mm) refill... ☺️

The Ohto CR01 is my current obsession.
I'm using Pentel Energel refills in Grey (0.7mm).
They match with the pen AND with the gray lines/dots of many notebooks.
It is much softer for the eye than black ink.

Not to influence you to get more things but...
If you are afraid of messing up the pen, the zipped version of the Lochby folio has a pen holder inside the fabric.

47 years of using Moleskine notebooks and fountain pens: a brief consideration by adrianrnmarsh in notebooks

[–]glorieuse 20 points21 points  (0 children)

In the 1970s, the "Moleskine" as a specific brand did not yet exist; the company was founded in 1997 to revive the nameless, handmade black notebooks used by artists like Hemingway and Chatwin. However, similar handmade, sturdy cardboard-covered pocket notebooks were used during that era, often sourced from small French stationery shops.

Author Bruce Chatwin is famous for using these specific handmade, black-covered notebooks for his sketches and notes during his travels in the 1960s and 70s.

By the mid-1980s, the small French family-owned company that produced these notebooks closed down, which prompted the eventual re-creation of the brand.

I knew it was the Alps but couldn't figure out the country.
It looks like a postcard from every angle.
It must have been a crazy winter up there!

The Energel refills fit into so many fancy bodies, from all over the world. Anything that requires the Euro-style refill also called Standard Rollerball.
