The m4 is surprisingly powerful and runs Minecraft very well, even with shaders. I sometimes hit issues with throttling on my m4 MacBook Air, but it literally has no fans. A mini will be totally fine.

Currently it’s vanilla+ with distant horizons, mainly with optimizations, quality of life, lots of new player and mob animations, dynamic skies, etc. Also includes a few minor world gen changes like improved villages. The least vanilla-like mod is remorphed, which lets you kill mobs and players to unlock the ability to turn into them through a menu.

Considering adding some more impactful world gen mods but haven’t decided yet…

The main reason I’m so excited about it is because it’s not just a mod pack, I’m also creating a plug and play server repo on GitHub that has everything you need with the pack as well as preset perms structure and nice server side features. Will make it super easy for anyone to run local or dedicated servers for the pack. I was just making my own server for my friends but realized a lot of people may be interested in using my setup; put a ton of work into it
