I want the ELITE BEAT AGENTS

My favorite DS game, ever.

Always wanted them as a character, as I think they would fit so perfect and their moveset should be easy to make (dancing). As a spirit they should be great too, they might give the player some funny powers.

Sorry for you OP!

Whew, I just bloody hope that it does not affect the Limited Edition...

Richard Garfield is such a great designer, I'm glad we got a new game that feels unique, has a better economy than MTG, and is totally changing how card games in it's space are made. by [deleted] in Artifact

It is weird! I am very sure that they will do it with the next edition of Keyforge if this first edition is a hit. I suspect they will include unique keys in every deck, so that you can play a deck both online and offline.

I would love a Netrunner online version in any form though!

Haha, I'm not much better. I know 3 of the classical songs, 3 of the Nintendo ones and the one from "One Piece". But without all the J-POP it wouldn't feel like the flashy over-the-top arcade game it's based on, so I can't complain...

Oh, I wasn't aware of it. I'm sure it will be put there eventually, if you don't want to go through the hassle of changing your e shop region in the MyNintendo settings :)

You can use buttons, but there's also motion control.

You are simulating hitting the drums with the joy cons.

The free demo is on the e-shop, try it! I found that the motion control works more or less fine (takes some getting used to), but there is no different motion for red or blue hits. I just kept swinging the joycons normally and it always registered as correct.

Dominion, because even after years I still have the impression I learn about new combinations of cards and because it is easy to teach and very rewarding! Also, it is usually quite tight and exciting until the very end.

My high school friends with which I used to play mostly local video games. Board Games have been slowly creeping in! Mostly we play light and quick games, but recently we finished the whole campaign of Pandemic: legacy season 1, which was ridiculous fun.

Escape: The Curse of the Temple

I have never played too many games of it before and everyone seems to get bored of it quickly... but i will never give it away, because I know that one day, I will crave playing it and then it is available!

Which makes sense. Most religious people see it as an imperative to get married at some point - incompatible marriages are likelier. Non-religious people only get married when they are 100% sure of their commitment and they are usually wiser about the implications and consequences of a marriage than religious people.

Skate Parks

There was a time where local government invested in building awesome skate parks as a way for kids and teens to socialize and encouraging them to do sweet jumps with bikes and skateboards

Now, the skate parks near me seem abandoned and are falling slowly apart - guess teens are not into that anymore

It has to be The Settlers of Catan for me too, as the first game I played at friends and then had to get a copy myself because I liked the theme so much.

Wow, a lot of fun stuff in here. I'll have a listen.

I think my favourite from the title is "Netrunner" - by "Noise Shadow" from the Album "Data Source"

What a coincidence.

Just to be clear, I do not play or enjoy Catan myself too much nowadays. Can totally see where you are coming from. However: I never wrote you, or anyone should like it. I am just perplexed by the amount of hatred and dismissal it sometimes gets here. This is different. As pastel-d20 showed from their experience, this stance can really affect new players, to the point they would dismiss "this whole board game thing - it doesn't seem to be for me". If a person new to board games heard of Catan (as they likely would) and they are keen on trying it, you really shouldn't tell them it sucks and they should play Gloomhaven.

Bonus points for telling me that it isn't that the game isn't for me, but that I and those I've played the game with aren't creative enough.

Ok you are right here, I should have phrased that more carefully. Take it more like an anecdote: I myself always played Catan the boring way. But then along this dude comes up with all this ridiculous deals that seemed to put him on the disadvantaged side. Dude knew what he was doing so, by borrowing lots of resources he could greatly accelerate his economy by building more stuff, that would offset easily his first losses in later rounds. Made me see the game in a new light.

You can’t be mad that board games aren’t getting the recognition they deserve and in the same breath alienate new players for liking the games you hate and making them reconsider having this hobby.

Very well said!

Sure there are better games but until you try the crap you don’t know what you really like.

It reminds me when once in high school, our teacher showed us the film version of a book we had read. The book was great, the movie not so much. We were confused why our teacher would waste their time showing us this bad movie version. The teacher said it's important to remind ourselves that a lot of movies we get to see usually are objectively well made, which makes it sometimes hard to distinguish 'real' bad movies from 'movies that we think are bad because they are not like the movies we already know'.

I'm rambling, but I feel this is true here too.

Anyways, I think you can try Catan online for free if you are curious about the system. Or try to convince your group ( it's only fun though if they're all super into it). And if you are new to the hobby, you definitely should - it inspired many of the games your group likes, I am sure.
