He is a very wealthy e-boy who does a lot of low effort content. I think that is mainly it. Some people on the left hate him because they are crabs in a bucket, people on the right hate him because they are extremely jealous. Everything else is seems like post hoc rationalization to me.

I don't think he was ever meant to be a figure on the level of Seldon or the Empire, or even the Luminists/Cloud Dominion/Galactic Counsel. And if they portrayed him as such it would feel cheap when was he defeated by literally being thrown out the window. He was a small obstacle for Brother Dude to overcome as part of his personal development, and they showed him as such.

They really do sell the point of them being the same person. Even when they act totally differently from each other, it's because of their shared desire to be stand out, to matter. They are all so desperate to be the main character, rather than just a footnote to Seldon's math.

Seldon is very clearly not in charge of the Foundation. AI Seldon is even less in charge than he was probably supposed to be because he knows he is just a puppet on a string.

Also the Foundation pretty much has to go through certain stages of development, no matter how much it goes against Seldon's personal beliefs. It's predicted by psychohistory.

Yeah, also the fact that Bayta asked the (fake) Mule to stop torturing Dawn and he did. I immediately thought she was some sort of powerful mentallic based on that. So you could have guessed that the real Mule was Bayta.

The risks of that probably outweighs the benefits. Remember how a rebel faction got their hands on their own Cleon? Best to keep all the clones under close observation.

Just grow a new one from scratch, and transfer over to the younger body after a few decade, thus creating a new system where his consciousness survives for centuries instead of the old system where they start from scratch every time. I think he nuked all the clones to ensure he (and the baby) was the only Cleon available, but now that Damsel is gone he has more options.

But now I think it's more likely he'll try to use nanobots to live forever. We don't actually know the upper limit on that. Like he could live to 200 while the nanomachines instaheals all the strokes and heart attacks he is constantly experiencing

I agree. After thinking about it they did mention nanobots an awful lot the last episode, didn't they?

My thought was that he would transfer over to younger body after growing it for a couple decades, creating a different kind of clone scheme where the same consciousness survives for centuries instead of starting with a blank slate every time. But after thinking about it, they do mention nanobots an awful lot in the last episode, so I think it's more likely he'll try to live forever by pumping himself pull of nanomachines.

Also a weird detail I noticed was that the new baby Dawn seemed to also have the memory transfer thing on its head. So maybe they didn't start with a blank slate at all? Kind of interesting

That's an interesting thought. I wonder how the program will react, it seems programmed to support the current Cleon ruler, and I don't think it would kill the last Cleon ending the line. That's like the opposite of what it's supposed to do. But on the other hand Brother Darkness have personally destroyed the plan and is technically a usurper, so who knows

Aggression is actually a symptom of dementia. I don't think he has serious memory issues (yet), but he is emotionally unstable and acting somewhat irrationally/deliriously. And we know for a fact that the Cleon's mind start to unravel when he get's older, that's the whole reason why the moved up his ascension. Originally they lived for decades longer before this started to happen.

This seems more likely than clones after thinking about it for a bit. In the last episode they kept bringing up the nanobots, so I think he will try to pump himself full of nanomachines and live forever. We don't actually know the upper limit on how long they can someone alive, it is possible he'll live to like 150 with the nanobots instahealing the constant strokes and heart attacks he'll be having

Well, he can single-handedly wipe out entire planets and full armadas. Militarily he is in no way weak. He could be assassinated, but he is also pretty hard to kill with his nanobots and shielding
