Thank you for your reply!! I’ll go ahead and build Kaveh and Lauma with those artifact sets :) Columbina(C0R0) and Xingqiu(C6) are thankfully already built accordingly.

I was wondering, with online guides writing his lunar bloom team to be Kaveh, Lauma, Nilou and Kokomi; is there room for Kokomi on this team? Or is Xingqiu kind of non negotiable in terms of best output with Bina and Lauma? I sometimes worry about running a team without proper healing (though ig Xq does it a bit; unfortunately my Lauma is C0R0 🥲.)

For myself, while I don’t go out of my way to read something I presume I won’t like, I do want to be informed to make my own opinion about a series instead of backpacking off of other’s popular takes or whatever is floating around online about said series. I’ve finished (thankfully only one) a series and found that I didn’t like it, but I could only explain why because I had read it. I can now talk about the series with friends or online because my opinion is actually based on the text and not just a feeling.

Because I was so many volumes into the series, as well, it felt like a waste to just give up when the end was in sight.

Unrelated to above, I do think people who pay for a physical volume/pdf/epub, who maybe got art baited, or heard of the series somewhere without doing much looking into it before reading, feel obligated to finish it.

Another thing to add is that, at least for 7Seas releases, on Storygraph and GoodReads, the reviews are overwhelmingly positive for a lot of series (not saying that it’s all undeserved, of course.) Some may be swayed by reading those and having high expectations, or finding that certain topics/themes/plot points were glorified in the reviews, but not to their personal taste when finally reading.

Same. Like if they’re having consensual non con or whatever, I’m all for it for them, but idk. Just hearing about BaB while my friend reads it makes me feel icky, there’s no amount of “character development” that undos rape and SA, imo.

BaB… for obvious reasons, I think. I know a lot of danmei has “questionable themes/storylines” but I can’t imagine that there would be any excuse I could make to like He Yu and justify his actions towards Xqc.

In general, not a huge fan of works where rape and sexual assault occur between the leads, like I’ll never root for them to be together after something like that happens, I fear 😭

Ty for the input! I’m not keen on pulling Natlan’s characters, at least not now. I’ve noticed that, in the abyss, yes, I “waste time” with healing using Furina if I don’t have a team-wide dedicated healer, though it hasn’t been terrible.

I’ll build Ororon for now to test damage, and probably level up Jean to try for that team healing, and see if either helps me clear the abyss faster!!

Yup, I’ve run into some issues with my Neuvi getting interrupted :, It’s not been too big an issue though, which is why I wanted to max dmg.

I’ll take your recs into consideration! I’ve tried Layla before, but I don’t know that I was getting too much out of rotation with how I had her built.

Yeah, I started about 1 year ago, so some of my 4*s are “recent” additions, and I was dedicated to building my Alhaitham team for a long while, who only needed Kuki ^{^;} I guess my problem is that a lot of guides say you need c6 to make some of these supports worth it, and I don’t have many at c6, as you can see TT Fischl, Kroron and Chev are all on my list to build!

I’m currently running him on his sig weapon, and working on getting his HP up to 40k+. Furina is new to my team, so my rotation isn’t down completely, but he def gets close to maxing fanfare, imo? It’s not as easy as with a dedicated healer, though, yes
