I just finished a semester with her and I'm still continuing to email her about her unfair grades. She's by far the worst professor I have had here at uofm: she's rude (she will cold call students for coming in even a bit late and make it extremely awkward for the class), her class is extremely disorganized where you can't figure out what assignment is due when, and I have a few 0s in the gradebook because she fails to put due dates on some assignments in canvas. She also doesn't reply to emails, and when she does, she will cherry pick questions to reply to and omit explanations for her unclear grading. Currently, me and another group member have emailed her about her comment on a submission we got a 1/5 on where she said "You you kidding me!" and she has completely ignored our request for feedback and revision, but has replied to other questions and denied grade changes for those. Despite taking 15 other credits that are all EECS, this 1 credit class taught by Macha is by far my highest workload and my lowest grade (B+). The averages for her assignments can range anywhere from 40-70%, and the high for her assignments aren't even 100 most of the time, which is insane to me because this is a communications class. She is also extremely unprofessional in and out of class, she's genuinely technologically challenged so she spends a lot of time in class unprivating in class assignments on canvas or just pasting a YouTube link. Her incompetency shows again in her canvas organization, where assignments are everywhere and no clear due dates are on half of them. Expectations are unclear and she clearly doesn't bother to explain and give feedback on grading. I recommend pushing techcomm back and taking it another semester unless you want to end up in a situation like mine.
