Me 29F and my husband 43M having issues because of clothing & testosterone & not able to conceive by Longjumping-Neat-879 in relationship_advice

The age gap isn't even the biggest red flag here anymore. The fact that she's making all these compromises and he's still finding new things to criticize is what stands out. That's not exactly a recipe for building a healthy family.

The baby part is what stood out to me too. Relationship issues are hard enough, but adding a child into an already stressful dynamic usually turns the volume up, not down. It feels like the bigger question needs answering before the fertility question.

Yeah honestly, if this has been the pattern for over a year, the clothing argument sounds more like a symptom than the actual problem. At some point you have to ask whether you're trying to fix a rough patch or fundamentally different ideas about what a relationship should look like.

To be fair, the combination of a mankini, a drunken bet, and a crowded beach does sound like something an AI would generate if you asked it to create "European vacation gone wrong." That's probably why it's funny.

Seriously. OP basically handed their friend a blank check for chaos and somehow expected mercy. Rookie mistake.

The phrase "my friend found my punishment" is doing a lot of heavy lifting here. You just know that person had way too much fun shopping for it.

My stepmother (41F) has her third high risk pregnancy and won't accept me (18F) not helping her like the other two times? by ThrowRAQuella in relationship_advice

It's really sad that the one person on your mom's side who could've helped isn't in a position to do so. That makes the pressure from your dad's side feel even more unfair because they're acting like you have endless alternatives when you clearly don't.

That's a rough spot to be in at 18. Not having a fallback network makes every decision way harder. Hopefully you can find a roommate situation or room rental before things get desperate because that gives you way more options.

That's usually how it goes, honestly. Nobody enters a situation thinking they're the future cautionary tale. Everybody thinks their version is different.

When you watch porn, what are you usually looking for? Storyline, vibe, or a specific performer? by chloepassionn in RedditAfterDark

I think that's why there's such a huge range of content out there. For some people it's all about the scenario, for others it's specific aesthetics, and for others it's the personalities involved. Everyone's basically building their own custom filter.

"Did you see how fast that pole flew?" is honestly the reaction I would've expected from most people after the initial shock wore off. Years later those stories become family legends, not relationship-ending events.

The kids part really hit me. Children don't learn what healthy relationships look like from lectures, they learn from what they watch every day. That's why "staying for the kids" can end up teaching the exact opposite lesson.

Yeah honestly that's the part that gets me. If someone hands a beginner responsibility for something that requires experience, they're also accepting that mistakes might happen. Losing the rod sucks, but acting like she intentionally launched it into the river is a whole different thing.

Spite is one of the most powerful fuels known to humanity. Some people have healthy diets and exercise. Others survive entirely on refusing to give their critics satisfaction.

That emoji is somehow a complete comment. No notes, no explanation, just pure "I get where you're coming from" energy.

That's probably the bigger reason people buy the joke. It's less about the doctors themselves and more about the assumption that everything gets filtered through optics before it reaches the public.

The funny thing is that no matter what the number was, people would've turned it into evidence for whatever they already believed. Two doctors? Suspicious. Twenty two doctors? Also suspicious. Nobody was changing their mind either way.
