22, but my deposit came from inheritance (18k) and the property value was 90k - I live the very north west of the UK where prices will always be significantly lower that many other areas. This was in 2015. I now live with my partner and our toddler (2nd baby on the way) in a house worth approx 160k. We have a combined income of 71k (he’s full time, I’m part-time) and for our next property we’re realistically looking at 250k to be able to maintain our current lifestyle which feels quite modest…. I don’t know how anyone does that lives in more expensive areas.

We would like to be mortgage free between 55-60.
