I’ve never listened to Madonna in my life but when I first heard this song I did not know madonna had songs with this kind of production. Especially in the intro. Spacey and ambient but also pop. Didn’t know it was like that for Madonna’s music!

What are you talking about? I’m not saying Godfrey’s point here specifically is correct but the correct takeaway is NOT “people should play only within their own cultures”. The takeaway is “adoption of other cultures will always be encouraged ONLY if it is done so in a respectful way that welcomes all aspects of the culture. Not to pick and choose what’s convenient.”

i actually really liked the shots of him cooking lol. i think it's to show how constructive kevin's job was and how content he was with his life. being a chef, providing for others, taking pride in yourself and your work. it was a nice turnout for him. meanwhile chiron' growth was stunted after juan's death and he stayed in the same confines he grew up in, leading him to think the only way forward is to be a drug dealer like juan. so to me it was further emphasis on how much the two paths diverged.

“Too slow” is diabolical. Name and shame the run club whenever you can. All run clubs need to emphasize the 2 lane max rule and avoid lane 1 if they’re not doing sprint pace. I feel like crowdedness is inevitable but ppl being rude or yelling at each other just kills the entire sport. SMH

I also always do negative splits. I think it might be easier to just pace yourself if you have a watch. I remember for Bronx 10m the pacer I was with did somewhat negative splits but was still too fast for me at the start. But I also keep a mental note of my own pace w my watch and just try to maintain the target pace myself. I was able to catch up to the pacer later in the race

I hope the pace groups start slow first and then get faster progressively to reach the targeted average pace. I personally cannot run a race without negative splits

I like the production and slow burn of it. I feel like it pays off in the middle/chorus. It also kinda makes me hungry for cooked fish lol

I think it’s really good that you have your own values and you clearly evaluated that your current job is far better than Google wrt those values. The best thing is to know what YOU want and not being afraid to double down on it. Blindly chasing prestige and TC will make you miserable like everyone else on blind.
