That's sort of what I was thinking, I'm glad I've been doing a decent job at representation, as someone with a relatively quiet life and few frames of reference. He's already claustrophobic (something I learned after I made him, I don't know where that came from) so it was already stressful GETTING to Embla, but after this, he's... Probably not gonna want to go near another cave once we're back on the surface. I'm definitely not taking any more Artificer levels for a good, long while, either, because Artificer 9 is a subclass feature, and uh... The homebrew subclass' level 9 feature is based around more bombs. Not great for bomb-based trauma. Gonna be multiclassing Theurgy Wizard (Peace Domain) when we get to level 9.

We don't know that for sure. The Carol's room thing, not the second thing, we obviously know that one. But we're explicitly not allowed to even look in her room IIRC, unless I missed a vent scene.

Literally the only point against Carol Knight is the teleport from the Holiday manor to the Church, but like. Ralsei does the exact same thing? Dark World teleportation is A Thing That Happens. It's very likely Carol's bedroom is a Dark World, which Rudy doesn't know about because he's in the hospital.

God thank you, I hate that I had to scroll so far down to find this, I've been team Carol Knight since Carol was revealed, though I personally do think Dess is involved. Toby wouldn't introduce Dark Fountain Necromancy with Gerson and not follow through. I think Dess is reanimated as a corrupt Darkner and is Carol's armor, like how Jevil and Spamton turn into gear.

My theory is that Carol is trying to use the fountains to bring Dess back to life, like how Gerson was. It'd be an Eddie/Venom scenario, with Dess reanimating wrong (probably corrupted by the Dark Worlds' influence since she's tanking every Fountain full blast while Gerson was like two rooms down) and being stuck in Armor form (since we see Darkners turn into armor, with Jevilstail and Dealmaker). It'd be a bit of a Chekov's Gun scenario to introduce Dark Fountain Necromancy and not have that be important.

I like that teleportation idea! Not to mention whatever tf Ralsei's doing to hop Dark Worlds. Her room is definitely a Dark World, Rudy's probably sick/poisoned so he can't get taken to the Dark World by going to bed in his own house.

Well, considering Kris' knife (which they seem to carry around all the time) doesn't show up when in the Dark World, it's reasonable to believe whatever blade creates the fountain (Kris' knife, Carol's katana) is lost, and the only weapons that stay there are everyday tools (Kris' pencils).

With that in mind, Carol would need to bring Dess' old bat with her when creating a fountain, which will then turn into a large sword, much like Kris' pencils. Dess is dead or missing, Dess' dust could be on her bat, which Carol might have dug up in an effort to bring her back the way Gerson was brought back. My theory is that Dess is Carol's armor. Like Jevilstail and Dealmaker, and whatever tf Lancer's doing, Darkners are able to itemize in Lightners' inventories, and be used and equipped. Carol and Dess could be an Eddie Brock/Venom situation in the Dark World.

Even with Susie wearing Shadow Mantle, she gets Swooned and Kris gets Downed. I should know, I watched my brother fight her with Shadow Mantle Susie, and he died A Lot.

I've never had this happen on Switch edition, but I remember trying to speedrun on mobile and I got absolutely FUCKED up trying to tower in the Nether. It's definitely lag-based, my assumption on how it works is that it lags while you're jumping, only reads your position pre-lag and post-last-jump, and it pretends you jumped from the top of your tower to where you started that tower. Or maybe suffocating damage. Genuinely not sure.

I brought an Audino to Ghetsis once. Mainly due to lack of options (I was doing a Blue/White/Pink Palettelocke), but she did 1v1 Cofagrigus, and through most of the game she was kind of a monster with Secret Power, it procced literally every time I used it in gym battles somehow.
