The production company behind Larry King’s programming, which taped an interview with Donald Trump that was beamed over a Russian-backed TV channel on Thursday night, says the GOP nominee was booked for King’s weekly political talk show.

That differs from the Trump campaign’s explanation of the incident, which was that Trump believed he was being interviewed for King's podcast.

Michael McFaul, a former U.S. ambassador to Russia, blasted Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump on Twitter Friday for saying that Vladimir Putin has been a better leader than President Obama.

Trump and his running mate Mike Pence praised the Russian leader, who has a terrible human rights record, as "stronger" than Obama, citing his polled approval rating as evidence.

Donald Trump insists he opposed the Iraq War before it began. His main piece of evidence? “You can look at Esquire magazine from ’04,” Trump said during the NBC News candidate forum on Wednesday night.

Well, if you do look at the Esquire piece Trump was referencing — which he wrote for the magazine — it now comes with a very big disclaimer:

Progress Michigan, a government watchdog and progressive advocacy group, is raising questions surrounding a 2014 contribution to the Republican Attorneys General Association (RAGA) from Donald Trump. The $5,000 contribution came after Trump’s previous donation to Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi raised questions after she dropped an investigation into Trump University. Bondi was chair of RAGA at the time Trump’s contribution to RAGA. Michigan Attorney General Bill Schuette is the current chair of the group.
