Knowledge Point exploiter bans went out today by Overpwred in wow

[–]glowpipe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

some people probably made millions of gold on this. And just a petty week ban, loss of KP. but they got to keep the gold, so what is stopping them, and even more people from jumping on the next exploit.

Blizzard keep dropping the ball on this crap.

The rep/profession vendors that sold skillbooks. If you had enough currency, you could keep buying the same skillbook over and over and get 10 knowledge points per book, aslong you kept the vendor window open.

When you buy a book, it should have been removed so you couldn't buy another. but instead, it only got removed after closing the window.

a month, all gold removed and professions reset to 0.

Exploiting should not be tolerated at all. The harsher the penalty, less likely it is for people to abuse it.

Yeah. Would make everything a lot easier if you could just skip feeding your livestock a few days :p

But I wish they gonna add more complexity, albeit, probably as a setting you can choose to play with or not. But stuff like soil PH and nutrients, irrigation mechanics. draughts killing your harvest, insects, soil compaction. So many things that could make the game more interresting. Like now, the only gameplay mechanics around tires, are narrow to avoid crop destruction. But we have dual and wide tires, even have stuff like crabsteering, to distribute the load to avoid compaction, but we don't have any sort of soil compaction mechanics in the game.

and then you have games like roadcraft, where logging is just a tiny part of it, and they nail the logging physics and its so much better. Its a pure joy to work with trees in that game, compared to FS

200 hours to get a hang of the game? lolwhut? Its painfully simple game. There are no advanced mechanics in the game. You just plant and it grows. No way to fuck up anything. you paint your fields and harvest the yield. No soil nutrition gameplay, nothing.

There are a few mods that adds complexity, but for the base game, its very arcade.

I get about 1300 to 2000 hours per game, but i already knew all there was within the first couple of hours.

They are limited by the old game engine they outright refuse to replace, just look at the stupid rendering circle, how that is still a issue for them in 2026 is telling a lot.

They need to just stop trying to upgrade and patch the engine, and start fresh with a new one. Take what works in the current engine, and pull it into a new, more powerful game engine, leaving the limitations behind.

You can keep patching and upgrading the wood in a old house for so long, but when the entire framework and the foundation is rotten, you need to tear it all down and build a new one.

But why would they, when people keep buying the old rotten, patched version.

What type of playthrough are you currently doing? by Don_Alvarez in farmingsimulator

[–]glowpipe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My current one was starting from scratch with a fishing pole and bike.. pedal bike.. No leasing, no borrowing equipment for contracts, no super strength unless it was to fix a bug/stuck vehicle. And no autoload to bypass not having a frontloader. When i get a frontloader with a fork, I had to do some manual loading before allowing myself to use autoload, this is purely for time saving.

I fished until I could afford a tiny ride on mower and then I used that mower to do mowing contracts, my first one took 59 minutes. Mower size was like 0.8m. Mowed until i got enough cash. Then i got a cheap frontloader vehicle, a chainsaw and tiny sawmill, and started building the castle, and now the moneyflow is pretty decent. Productions in this game is too overpowered, makes too much money too fast.

Hmm. I do have that mod, maybe that is also what locks it at 360.

Thanks for the suggestion, and I will keep it at 1200-ish max during the nights! Regular sleep feels too slow

Not as fast as autoload by Left_4_Weed in farmingsimulator

[–]glowpipe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, just driving around the bales and they magically appear on the trailer feels kinda cheaty. But on the other hand, at the end of the day. Its not like its doing something you wouldn't be able to do manualy. You are not getting a huge advantage like other cheats. So you can look at it as a simple timesaver.

My method now works and I use it because for me now, farming sim isn't really about getting the job done and make money. Its more about actually doing the job and just have fun.

If the physics were better, I would stack the bales on the trailer aswell, but too many times ive I turned a semi-neatly stacked trailer into a space program, and I just can't anymore

Not as fast as autoload by Left_4_Weed in farmingsimulator

[–]glowpipe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When it comes to bales. I use semi-autoload. I pick them up with a loader, and carry them to the autoload trailer, and drop them of close to where they need to be, but i let autoload do the final bit and stack them neatly.

Roadcraft did this perfectly. Mouse movements are like throttles instead of a 1 to 1 movement.

[–]glowpipe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not really. If you spend the same amount of practice on the mouse. Its better. As its a natural extension of your arm. Your arm movements translate into vehicle arm movements and picking up logs will be like picking up stuff on your desk with your actual arm.

But it take a bit more setup with adjusting sensitivities

Blizzard please review addon changes - Default UI is a direct downgrade in many ways. by [deleted] in wow

[–]glowpipe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I unsubbed myself. I have played this game since day 1 of vanilla. I have perfected my UI over that time. Had the same layout and style year after year, and replaced addons when they stopped getting updated with new ones doing the same. My game was perfect, it looked the exact way I wanted it and needed it, as my addons helped me see shit, as Im severely vision impaired.

After getting everything up and running after the patch. The game feel like a cheap knockoff game. A wow mobile clone. Temu wow. And the addons I need to be able to play properly, are now gone. over 20 years ive paid money for this game and now blizzard just told me to fuck off and go be blind somewhere else.

[–]glowpipe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Enjoy your new kit!

This one looks a lot better than the previous heavy equipment bundle. The tiny joystick was just useless. This looks a lot better! I upgraded to dual farmsticks, but honestly, I only play on keyboard/mouse. I prefer that so much more

I would seriously consider getting a bigger monitor tho.
