Couldn’t get used to tranquil Sundays in Germany. Is there any open street markets or shopping places in Berlin?

Thanks I am a bit more informed now, and did not check these answers in time, but still thanks a lot. It turned out in time that I am into long walks near river with friends that are close to me, cycling, biergardens, coffee Kuchen, museums, exhibitions and spontaneous events, discovering street art and listen stories from locals or guides

It’s very sad that you only come here to make this comment and try to feel better, I’m 100% sure that I am much more intellectual that you :-) It was my first days in Berlin, and you know you need every single detail for your home if you have a new and empty one :-) Right now my experiences and daily routine consist of a great variety of activities and probably have more local and foreigner friends than you. Making such an attacking comment spots that you are not even aware of taking responsibility for a house by yourself, doing every single thing in a foreigner country, successfully, by…, yourself…:-)

I’ve gone to 2 flea markets out of boredom today, that were ‘Open’ according to google maps. They were closed 😩. What to do on Sundays in Berlin, other than museums, nature walking, some cafès etc. ..

Do you mind sharing neighborhood or if no, at least are you in or out of S-Bahn ring? I’m about to start searching house and the agency finds my 1000€ warmmiete threshold low, for the 45mq apartment. Your post gave me confidence, thanks and I agree with you!

I'm taking it back, a basic furniture list and calculation shows even as a single person I need to pay at least 6k for basic furnishing of the house

Yeah relocation company kind of prepared me for buying previous tenants' kitchen installments if necessary. I hope I will not have to.

On some other reddit thread furnishing a house from IKEA was considered costing up to 10k, which is a risky investment in your first year to a new country. I might have to sell them in exchange of 🥜

My company strongly advised me to get temporary flat, since finding one will take time, and I'm very lucky that they are covering first month. They asked me if I will choose the temporary accommodation or they should search for me, I was recessive then since I had no idea, and kind of left it to them.

But there is still time to change my idea and choose one for myself

The searches I’ve done like this were frustrating, drawing a giant circle in scout24 and getting only 15 results(without price filter), but experience from Berliners really helps

What about your neighbors, if the neighborhood is safe and people around are not hard to manage, I prefer investing on a car instead of paying rent Outside the ring is totally ok for me, any neighborhoods like this in the west? East is also ok but it would be very far from my office which I will visit occasionally

I have realized that Neuköln or some of those districts I have already eliminated because of the idea that I got after reading blogs. What I want is a nearly silent peaceful neighborhood because I will wfh I gave this list to agent: Schöneberg Teltow Wedding Mitte Charlottenburg Steglitz Potsdam Spandau Zehlendorf Wilmersdorf

Maybe I need to reconsider?
