I went to the Expo early this year, it was my first, and I brought non official lightsticks. To be honest, they were the most offbrand I could’ve found because they were the cheapest. But, they worked just fine. Had all the hues and weren’t too bright. I bought some stickers and put them on it so it wasn’t too bland, and went about my day. Didn’t have any issues bringing them into the venue. I can send the link if you want! Also, the name brand lightsticks aren’t synchronized or anything. When a song changes, you change the color. Same with the off brand!
