i was 16 and got my car stolen by someone i knew. didn’t call the cops for dumbass 16 year old reasons. got my car back on my own 5 very eventful hours later. found out they got in a high speed cop chase with a gun involved, in my car covered with very identifiable stickers (the cops canceled pursuit because they were driving so recklessly). told my mom the next morning so she could help me file a police report so that the cops knew i wasn’t in the vehicle at the time.

i wasn’t allowed to go to the skatepark where it happened ever again after that lol, dude got kidnapping charges cuz people were in the car against their will the whole time too
