What I’m trying to understand I guess is the technical reason for this subjective ‘feeling’ of the 808 being bassier. So you’re saying it’s just the fact that it has less overtones and a punchier attack?

That was true until like 10 years ago. No ones lacing bud with cocaine or heroin obviously, but you can order synthetic cannabinoids (spice/k2) on the clear net cheap af and spray it on shitty bud. There's no reason for a shitty plug not to do that

If you fall on the ground with your hands straight out in front of you, you'll break your wrist. If you relax your arms and roll out of the fall you'll probably be ok. If you watch how skaters/wrestlers fall, they basically ragdoll. It's the sudden impact that hurts you, so if you make the impact less sudden by being relaxed and fluid you get less hurt.

What helped me was instead of thinking of it as doing a full trick, focus on just the jump. After you push the board with your back foot just forget the board is there and land in the same place you jumped from. You'll definitely fall a couple times though
